  1. RANDY CHOATE TO JOE MAUER sure he's the BEST LOOGY in the game but ALL 4 PITCHES were BALLS Joe Swings at 2 of them, is out on 4 pitches. I"m soo Sick of this routine when he was pissed for getting rung up in the middle innings on A CLEAR BALL he needs to go back up to the DISH next time and not swing at all, SWING less NOT MORE. RANDY CHOATE DID NOT THROW JOE MAUER a single strike in that At-Bat. That is happening at least once a game to Joe now a days.
  2. I'm not a fan of skipping AAA in any cirmustances, but given no Hunter and No Hicks... I can understand the move, although i wouldn't have done it.
  3. LOVE The Cabbage pick in the 4th round, whether he's a SS , 3B , or a 2B i think he can stick in the infielder as a 6'4" hitter with a sweet contact swing and mild power. THE THING IS HE MIGHT be a tough sign, Committed to U of Tennesseee The 3rd Round Pick surprised me, with C Austin Rei and SS Blake Trahan STILL on the Board (Muetuella, Riley Ferrell just gone) Blankenhorn better play up to his potential sooner than later.
  4. I mean, i was hopeing we'd get Bregman or Tucker but with those 2 off the board, my top guy was Tyler Jay. Good Job Twins, and Daz Cameron wanting 5 million is a joke.
  5. I enjoyed the selection of Tyler Jay I honestly went, " YES" when the announcement was made watching on my computer, (mlb network feed on tv was terrible) Normally Jay is the kind of guy that would go in the 12-18 range , but with this draft beings so weak i HONESTLY ThINK it was the right pick. He is Glen Perkins 2.0 maybe he'll be able to start a bit longer than Perkins did in the Majors, before he's turned into a mid or late inning guy. Stay healthy tyler jay and work hard! :-)
  6. the 2016 draft will be better than 08-09 -2010 and probably even 2005. The 2016 draft will be somewhat loaded. If Bregman Somehow falls to the Twins at 6 that is a dream scenrio if you ask me. Hopefully someone picking at 3 or 4 takes Allard or Fulmer , and feels like they need a pitcher badly then its all about the Astros taking Bregman at 5 or not, if they do We're not too happy, if they Don't We take him and RE-JOYCE
  7. Yeah, you're probably right Jeremy, its a shame The Ervin Santana Thing cannot be undone, B/c we would of been picking at what 42-46 or something like that IN Round 2 and could of taken Blake Trahan , and now instead have to wait to pick #73 ( at least we pick in the 80's as well) At this point, I think I'd rather have Trahan to Santana EVEN if we had TO GIVE the Player a 40 Man roster spot Immediately!
  8. If you're picking in the 20's like the Royals or the Angels or somebody like that, there could be OF a plenty available like Stewart (FSU), Happ (Cincy), Plummer (H.S.), Dewees (FL) (though i think D. Dewees falls to rd. 2 ) A target i kind of like for the Twins in round 3 or round 4 would be Blake Hickman, Blake Trahan or possibly Rhett Whiseman
  9. my prediction (s) less than a week out 1. D' Backs - Brendon Rodgers , SS , FL H.S. (has to go in top 3 right?) 2. Astros - Alex Bregman , SS , LSU 3. Rockies - Dansby Swanson , SS , Vandy 4. Rangers - Carson Fulmer , SP , Vandy 5. Astros - Kyle Tucker , OF , FL H.S. 6. Twins - Kevin Newman , SS , Arizona 7. Red Sox - Andrew Bientendi , OF , Arkansas 8. White Sox - Dillon Tate , SP , USC Santa Barbara 9. Cubbies - Daz Cameron , OF , H.S. 10. Phillies - Tyler Jay , LHP , Illinois 11. WALKER Buehler - RHP , Vandy (may be steal of the draft, much like T. Beede last yr) 12. Bryon Hudson , LHP , Illinois H.S. 13. Jon Harris , RHP , Missouri Tech 14. (the texas OF'er H.S. kid) - name escapes me for some reason 15. Cornealius Randolph , 2B , GA H.S. just missed: Brady Aiken, Koby Allard , Beau Burrows, Garrett Whitley, Austin Stephenson, Funkhouser, Binford, Cody Ponce
  10. I want Trevor Plouffe to be a part of the 2016 Twins, maybe not 2018..... but 2016 definately. in 3B or LF or RF.
  11. Yeah, assuming Swanson and Rodgers are both gone who would be my #1 and #2 choices respectively. I think My Twins Big Board would be: A) Alex Bregman Dillon Tate C) Carson Fulmer D) Either Daz Cameron or Kyle Tucker obviously theres a chance that Tate, Fulmer, Swanson, Rodgers, and Bregman are all gone by the time the Twins are picking @ #6 so that would be my worst case scenerio. In that scenerio my choice would probably be Tyler Jay LHP (Illinois) over anyone else unless Kyle Tucker impresses the Twins brass heavily. I can't really see anyone else going to the Twins Buehler is nice, but not at #6 . Right?
  12. Nolasco is walking a tight rope, if the Pirates rock him today. MILLONE up, & Bye bye either Pelfrey or Nolasco. Ricky needs to earn his way up here, by owning AAA battles at least somewhat like Millone has done. Screw the $ 12 million per that you're paying Nolasco , its about what makes the Club a BETTER CLUB and that is TOMMY MILLONE not Ricky Nolasco.

  14. I think Hicks is likely to be the CF'er in 2016. Buxton doesn't seem to be ready for it. Obviously. maybe late in 2016.
  15. No way , not happeneing No way Buxton is up untill August or September , at the earliest.
  16. Also want to point out for Ft. Myers how well Alex Swim is doing..... iF YOU'RE SWIM You've got to be excited about the prospect of being our future Chris Herrmann type. you know maybe 3 years or so from now. a guy who can catch, and handle multiple other postions and flash a decent bat.
  17. As The Brilliant Seth Stohs states above. Some of the outs for both players have been "loud" outs. I"m not worried at all. The Rust had to be shaken off and , even though maybe some of us were "fooled" by spring training into thinking those 2 guys were a little more "ready to go" than they actually really were. (is apparent) Now , if these 2 are doing much of the same another 2 months from now. Then ill be worried. But if they're both still in AA 2 months from now , i wouldn't be surprised if Sano's more normal line went from 0-4, 2 K's or 1-3 , HR , 1 K , 1 BB to something like: 2-4, 2B , BB , K and for Buxton he's already coming out of it. Essentially the only thing i'm going to keep an eye on is the amount of K's both players (particulary Sano) are racking up. Hopefully they both Begin to K a little less. I think they are both doing a Great job currently!. (Remember, AA is a big Jump From High A ) which Buxton and mostly Sano too are both doing for the 1st time.
  18. I like Tate a lot now, trouble is Its a LOT of Helium and hype... and the rest of Baseball has surely caught onto him. Any chance he's available for the Twins to take Jeremy? If so Should they? Something i've noticed on Tate: -----> ................... Thats a high high leg kick, but i like how he pitches from the stretch, and AT WORST i see him as an MLB reliever. should be similar to Berrios in the minors. IMO <-----
  19. Souhan is an idiot. acutally that would be a rather light abrasion to the term idiot. Souhan has been dead to me for a long time, I'm not a Minnesotan so i don't have to put up with his articles (thank goodness) But isn't he also the one that was a proponent to Petino's son as coach but Hates Jerry Kill and wanted him fired? yeah ok.
  20. Thats the Way to manage that bullpen could of went with Graham or Boyer in the 9th. Not even a pressing need to use Perkins there, i can understand using him Though. Good job Molly. Problem is, if THompson or Fien don't pitch incredibly well, we're screwed.
  21. The Twins in the coming weeks and days, need other MLB teams to be desperate! Injuries abound, injuries aplently, other teams need to be desperate for Twins' players. I'm convinced this HAS to happen at this point, its just a matter of time, and Who. #1 April 28th After Bartolo Colon goes down for 60 days DL , the Mets with no other options to turn to in their rotation (Wheeler, Syndergaard hurt) other than Sean Gilmartin; ELECT to trade Double A RH Jack Leathersich for RHP Mike Pelfrey of the Twins. #2 Sometime in June The Twins and Brewers strike a deal that sends 3B/1B Trevor Plouffe and RHSP Kyle Gibson to the Brewers for MLB reliever Tyler Thornburg, AA LHP Jed Bradley and High A+ SS Orlando Arcia. #3 July Deadline The Nationals infield situation is dire, they have lost Danny Espinosa for the year to injuries; and Dan Uggla is ineffecient. -(terrible) ..With no body to turn to to fill in for Rendon (Knee) and even Escobar at 2B and Desmond at SS when they need a true rest. They announce a trade constructed by Terry Ryan. 3B/SS/LF Eduardo Nunez , RP Casey Fien , and OF Aaron Hicks + a PTBL for OF Michael Taylor (The Twins were rebuffed at trying to add RP Blake Treinen in the deal) #4 During the offseason Brian Duensing, Tim Stauffer, Eric Fryer, Boyer , Torii Hunter all leave via FA. Boyer and Hunter elect to Retire. But the Twins cannot un-do the Nolasco or Ervin Santana deals and are forced to start 2016 with a rotation of: 1 Hughes 2 Berrios 3 May 4 Milone 5 Santana / Meyer with Meyer likely being the one sent to the bullpen.
  22. Danny Ortiz with a great game for Rochester 2-3 , BB , HR (1) ! He'd be a great 4th OF 'er one day for a team with 3 stud starters that are primarily RH. Oh wait we don't have that. ...............Free Oswaldo Arcia Free him! ...............
  23. Is Max Kepler hurt with the arm thing? ALso i'm really surprised both Walker and Harrison are in AA to start , i would of had one or the other in High A for the first month or so let them get comfortable then promote at hot streak time.
  24. WTF Molitor already shows he's sooo "great" at lineups already..... why not go with Escy over Arcia in game 1 against David Price???!?!?!? now in game 3 against shane greene you go with escy over Arcia ?!? , makes a TON- OF SENSE! opening day lineups are overrated who the f cares. Get it right Paul!
