    I was trying to think of a Darvish contract compromise. I came up with a 5 year 135 million with a 6 th year option at 25 million or 5 million buy out. We can inckude an opt out after the second or third year too if needed.

    Dont forget rosterman the Twins also hired around 40 more staff for analytics and other departments.....their salaries and equipment could run 5 to 10 million depending on all the stuff they get to improve performance.

    I think Moyer deserves a place in the hall. It takes talent and determination to be pitching in the bigs at 48.

    I think of Sano as more of a teenager millionaire. He cant have a good education from where he is from and is still griwing up emotionally. I can see a 10 game suspension with classes and or some kind of psychology stuff requirement. I see this as more of an isolated incidence with him as i suspect he will learn from it.

    We have lots of depth in prospects which a lot are projected to make it to the show. I think Tampa would be happy if they received a package that contained 3 or 4 players they can control for 6 seasons at a low cost. It probably doesnt matter if they have someone blocking a prospect at majors cause they can always trade established players who are more expensive. I think a package of Gonsalves, Gorden, Jay, killeroff, and an extra like Granite or Sledgers...you can mix and match but odds are Tampa will get good value out of that trade. I would be more open to a trade like this if we signed Darvish. Cause then Archer gives us 3 starters under contract for 4 years or more reducing the need for so many pitching prospects for a few years while the next round of pitchers from upcomming drafts develop.

    They are looking at Miley as a value sign. I took that to mean if they could get him cheaply. They would still be able to sign Darvish if they sugned Miley

    Im all for woking as a group to soeed up the game, but a 20 second pitch clock will negatively affect perfomance of some who are more comfortable with more time between pitches. I think that should be done over a 3 year period so players arent making big adjustments to their game to compensate. I do agree that we need to speed up games. We need to do it at a slower pace...

    I do hope if he wants a chance to come back he atleast gets a minor league contract with a spring invite. But with all the quiet he maybe done.

    Boshers seems to be a player that is a good filler cause he is so close to being good in the majors. He had a K rate over 8 here. He gave up few walks. But just a few too many hits and homers.... i think he will land somewhere too. He's left handed. Who doesnt need a third or 4th lefty reliever in the back of the pen. Or in AAA in case you need one who can do a serviceable job when needed.

    There's one less Darvish suitor as the Astros aquired Cole. Of course the Yankees may step up their efforts to sign Darvish as a result...

    Buxton's personality us one that would sign an extention through his arbitration years and is nice enough to maybe add a 1 year of free agency to that extention. Depends on hiw badly he wants to play closer to home. I think once your approaching 100 million with him he is not the type of person to push for the extra dollar as much as a great environment to be in. He is Minnesota nice from the south.

    Heres a thought. Offer Darvish a 5 or 6 year contact. 25 million per year first 4 years and 10 million in year 5 with 20-30 million signing bonus depending on 5 or 6 year.

    Anyone want to break dowm a range year to year of possible extention scenarios? With comps. Now is the best chance for a discount. If there is no discount from the player for the security whether it be an extra year or three of team control or lower AAV, sign him if Buxton makes no consessions continue to go year to year.

    By my standards my prospect ranking system is the most accurate one out there and I ranked Gordon the 2.6th best prospect in the system. All kidding aside, Bernardino had a set criteria for his list and he is excluding other criteria. And that gives room for discussion. We could make a list based off of highest floor and that would give us different results.
