    Team context makes these decisions for you and it isn't hard to predict. The Twins didn't have to call up Cave to fill Buxton's spot. If Arraez can play OF (and he can), the team has the option of calling up Nick Gordon to fill Buxton's spot. And of course, Marwin can play OF so again... Gordon could have been the choice when Buxton went down with an injury with Marwin playing more OF. It doesn't have to be OF replacing an OF under our current team context and I'm pretty sure it's not. I'm quite certain that they determined Cave to be the best option to take Buxton's roster spot based on how Cave was performing in Rochester and based on how Cave performed last year. I think it's possible that the front office believes in Cave more than some of the Twinsdaily crowd.

    It's possible that you are describing the very nature of hot and cold streaks, which almost every player goes through during the course of a season.

    People have tried to label me and found no success in their attempts. We keep trying to put players in boxes. Is Schoop the back up now or is he part of the roster and simply utilized? Is Arraez the starting 2B next year or is he part of the roster playing 2B, 3B and LF? If Rooker goes nuts does he have to go nuts once a week or can the manager make it work. Labels are counter to how Baldelli is doing things and I couldn’t be happier.

    Yeah... you wouldn’t even have to label him a 4th OF. Just call him an OF.

    If we have bench players this would be a concern. Baldelli plays everyone so I don’t see a concern.

    I love watching him play. He's becoming my favorite Twin. He's earned his playing time and I'm willing to bet that he's not going back to Rochester. However, We just won with Sano, Cron, Schoop and Garver on the bench. Arraez can play 2B, 3B and OF... it doesn't have to cost Schoop the Lions share of playing time. This team is a thing of beauty.

    Two good teams... Toe to Toe. It is possible to enjoy a game without hating a single moment.

    I'm trying not to exaggerate but I don't believe I've ever seen so many missed calls on both sides. I don't think anyone is getting an advantage but I do believe he is changing the game.

    In all seriousness and as constructively as I can put it to find a quick solution. Dear Twins Front Office, Send a pitch by pitch tape of this game to the Major League offices and ask for escalated discussion of an Automated Strike Zone. Sincerely, Riverbrian

    OK The Diary Princess screams because she didn't see it coming, because she watching and taunting the 5 year old standing at the line, still holding the ball in his hand. The 5 year old has no idea what just happened. He just noticed that the dairy princess has plunged into the water. He looks at his Mom worried that he has done something wrong. Meanwhile, Someone has thrown up on the Tilt-a-Wheel... It was Jason Castro.
