  1. Dragons, Butterscotch and what makes rain fall.
  2. Kansas City is 13-17 over the their last 30 games. During this stretch they are 2-9 against Cleveland. That makes 11-8 against everyone else. Is Kansas City the worst team in baseball right now?
  3. Ok, but you'll only get confused whenever the Orioles beat the Yankees.
  4. Personally, I don't the schedule is that big of a factor. Cleveland is just playing well. They will cool off but we are going to have to win this thing on the field.
  5. Thursday I believe... But... Damn the days go by so fast.
  6. Blake is a good guy My impression is that I'm not sure he is strong enough.
  7. I look for measured responses...Level headedness and that's about it. Posivitive, Negative, personal views on positional flexibility don't matter that much to me. I'm trying to just consider level headedness. Spycake, Swainzag and Sconnie are at the top of that list in my opinion. Wyneysydstyyndes is also up there. After that... even those I didn't express favorable opinions on, are still good suggestions.
  8. I don't spend a ton of time in the minors forum. I'd trust ya with your description of goulik.
  9. Lot of this is going to be our individual impressions. I'm against both Milldaddy and Bighat. I don't hate them or anything like that but they have rubbed me the wrong way at times. Jorgenswest is a good guy but... for lack of a better word... he seems robotic or inflexible. Sconnie has been around a long time. He's had plenty of chances to turn over apple carts. If he's turned one over I don't remember it but that's a pretty good ratio when you consider how long and often he has been here. Sconnie has my vote. Swainzag has my vote period. Extremely sensible and measured. I could also get behind Wyndes but I think an active minor league forum guy makes sense.
  10. I think we tend to spend too much time discussing hard or soft schedule. The hardness or softness of schedule is a moving target. Play the Tigers while you are playing like crap... They will sweep you. Play the Giants while they are winning everything and they will sweep you. The Padre fans were probably pretty excited to see the Giants on the schedule around the first of July. In hindsight... not so much. That was about the time the Giants got on a month long roll. I'll leave assessing the schedule strength to others and look at them skeptically each time they try. What the Indians, Giants and Cardinals are doing right now is pretty damn impressive. Let's see who looks pretty damn impressive in August. I don't know who it will be but it will probably be three different teams.
  11. Swainzag is impressive... After Spycake... he's the next obvious choice. Sconnie is consistently level headed. I don't have a third name... just a recommendation. Pick someone who is consistently active in the minor league forum. The best of the prospect inclined if you will.
  12. I'll leave you all with this thought. Why does coffee stain your teeth while milk doesn't do a damn thing.
  13. Ash We got a potential Jinx watch in effect until 10:20PM Central time.
  14. Any possibility that Thorpe is showcasing a little?
  15. Nice front office foresight offering that contract during his Tommy John recovery.
  16. Now that's cruel. Although, I admit that all these links have really increased the user content generated advertising variety. I spend all my internet time on Twinsdaily... so previously it was all Twinsdaily ads when I was on Twinsdaily.
  17. Position flexibility means that Schoop doesn't have to suffer the entire burden of Arraez playing time.
  18. I had lunch with Carole once in Chicago. She says to me... Look your shoes are untied. I look down and she had tied them to the table leg. Then she left me there. I always fall for that bit.
