  1. Obviously it would be much wiser to keep them (assuming no teams are willing to massively overpay) though that Mets deal is enticing. Not interested in any of the others, even though we need a catcher.
  2. Imagine a future Twins rotation with two dominant lefties from Wisconsin, Prielipp and Carpenter.
  3. All high school prospects are raw prospects, and the reason I wouldn't advise being so results-oriented this early in his career is because we don't know if he's in the process of reworking his swing, nor do we know the severity of his injury. Consider Royce's minor league career with its ups and downs as he worked to find the swing that works for him. All the positive qualities you mention (his athleticism, size, pedigree) should give you confidence that he'll work things out. If a career minor league OPS of .905 is Jenkins at his worst, imagine how great he could become with a little refinement.
  4. He's 19, it's a small sample size, and his OPS is above league average anyway. His stats aren't eyepopping so far but players who walk a lot and make good swing decisions tend to have good results in the long run, and there's no reason to think Jenkins won't develop more power. Jenkins is a very exciting prospect.
  5. Based on what I've seen I'm more confident in Zebby than any other pitching prospect since maybe Berrios. Really excited to see how his stuff plays in the majors.
  6. It was his worst start, but he still only allowed 1 ER and 2 hits. So it only feels like he got rocked because we've come to expect a lot from him.
  7. Peyton Carr looks to be an interesting pick. Lots of power and more walks than Ks in his collegiate career.
  8. I agree, but I'd expect them to pick someone with either a high K rate, a big frame, or great command and build off that. Not saying it's a bad pick, and my expectations aren't too high at this stage of the draft. Just thought the pick didn't fit their usual M.0.
  9. Dasan Hill has the highest DIGS+ of any prep pitcher this year. I don't know what DIGS+ measures or if it's a reliable metric, but it's something.
  10. I'm with you and everyone else. No way I'd trade Festa or Keaschall for a rental. I think we're going to start seeing Keaschall on top 100 prospects lists.
  11. They have the most top-100 prospects in the AL. Only the Cubs and Rockies have more. I'm not convinced Luzardo would be more valuable for the Twins than Lee or E-Rod, so they're off the table for me. Jenkins too, obviously, but I'd be fine parting with any other prospects.
