  1. I know people don't like to hear it, but nothing is going to change until they make a switch at manager. The tone-setter for the entire team is the manager/coach. The inconsistency, not maximizing the substantial talent on the team, and just general "bleh" nature of the team's performance and vibes/energy is 100% on the manager. It's a shame because Rocco is a great guy, but 3 years of underachieving baseball despite very clearly trying to "go for it" by the front office is simply unacceptable. It is what it is.
  2. This team could win a playoff series if they were healthy and had a different manager. Instead, the team appears to my eye to be extremely flat, generally unprepared, and unable to maximize the talent they have on the roster. Just my two cents.
  3. In a different world, this series could have been a sweep. Instead looks like we'll win 1 out of 3. Disappointing
  4. If you look at gameday on MLB.com, the three batters that came up with the bases loaded swung at only one pitch that was actually in the strike zone. Everything else was outside the zone. Solano and Polanco didn't see a single pitch in the strike zone Unreal
  5. Just brutal. They need to get a sports psychologist in the clubhouse to help these guys with their bases loaded woes. It has to be psychological at this point. Nothing else makes sense!
  6. Just when you think the lineup may be starting to wake up...they face plant. My guess is that they'll eventually heat up while the pitching cools down and everything will even out. Finish as a 85-90 win team, probably win the division and then we'll see what happens in the postseason.
  7. Bailey Ober, YOU are now a member of the Minnesota Twins starting rotation!
  8. Welp, my afternoon just got a little more open. Happens every week, at least one game where the lineup isn't there, the efforts isn't there, etc.
  9. Maeda looked masterful in his first start of the year and has been straight up bad since. Very strange
  10. Defense isn't helping, but Maeda is doing a poor job commanding his pitches today so far. Way too many hanging pitches and center cut fastballs.....
  11. Welp, my work afternoon just got more productive.
  12. Feast or famine with the lineup. Looks like it'll be famine today!
  13. Maybe an unpopular opinion, but what the heck was Buxton doing? That was terrible baserunning. Hope he's ok, but dude....
  14. The lineup is a problem. I'll feel a lot better when/if we get healthy, because if this team even gets to league average offensive production, they should be a playoff team.
  15. Man, the White Sox pitching has been slicing and dicing the lineup so far. Goodness
  16. Man, Gallo got 3 cookies that AB
  17. Wow, heck of a start for Pablo against his old team! LOVE to see it
  18. Yeah...I know it's early still, but the first 6 games definitely lead me to believe that this lineup is going to have issues scoring this year.
  19. I know it's spring training and most pros are able to flip the "switch" when the regular season starts, but certainly not great to see Mahle getting knocked around by the AAA lineup Toronto trotted out today. Trusting he'll be ready to go on opening day.
