Signing a pitcher who just underwent TJ surgery to a contract extension is so profoundly stupid, I'm pretty confident the Twins will do it.

RIP In Peace, Zoobz. My Dad had a pair of "weekend Zubaz" that he wore every Saturday & Sunday through most of the Nineties. Mom ended up ironing on several dozen patches over the years. That's love.

Agree to disagree.

Donaldson made what was described as a "very generous" offer and Eddie declined again. Don't act like there aren't some hard feelings there with 2 big egos involved. They're not airing it out in the press, but I think it's safe to say Eddie & Josh won't be best friends. https://www.skornorth.com/twins-2/2020/02/word-is-eddie-rosario-will-be-keeping-no-20-josh-donaldson-to-wear-no-24/

I'm not so sure, Eddie's a pretty emotional guy. It's part of what I love about him, but I'd say he's the most likely person on the team to feel slighted by losing "his spot" to newcomers. I mean, the kerfuffle over #20 already shows he's not taking a backseat to Donaldson.

vs RHP: Polanco Donaldson Kepler Cruz Sano Rosario Garver Arraez Buxton vs LHP: Garver Donaldson Cruz Sano Kepler Polanco Rosario Buxton Arraez Imagine being a lefty warming up knowing that's your first 4. I wonder if Eddie is going to throw a **** fit about being moved out of the cleanup spot? It feels like he will.

But then there's the Damn Yankees...If the Twins don't find a way to get the #1 seed, I just can't see them getting past the Evil Empire.

If we could get 1/2 a season of Trevor Bauer (assuming the Reds don't make the leap into contention) for Larnach and #20-30 prospect, would you do it?

2017 was, by all accounts, the year the Astros cheated the most. Marwin's 2017 stats are such an aberration compared to the rest of his career. He had an OPS+ of 146 when his next best season is 109 and his average is season is right around 100. I think cutting him would be a great message for the Twins to send to the league, but I also don't understand how it would affect clubhouse dynamics. It definitely shouldn't be off the table, though.

Perfect! That's right where we need him to be.

I'm optimistic that they'll make the playoffs again in 2020, but it doesn't seem like they have the "impact pitching" to get past the first round. Gotta hope for a miracle with one of our prospects, if there's gonna be an ace on this staff any time soon.

Seems like a wee bit of a stretch. I'd be happy if he just became a top 7 right fielder in the league, don't really need him to be an MVP/Superstar.

Then they'll say, "we're saving payroll to make some big mid-season trades." Meanwhile, the Pohlad's buy another mansion - http://www.citypages.com/arts/wanna-buy-a-pohlad-bros-hotel-looking-edina-mansion/476000353
