Lopez already hurt. Trade him already when healthy, sign Giolito to replace him in rotation. Use Lopez and Larnach to get a shortstop and reliever. Trade our #1 catcher for a great utility player, capable of playing multiple infield/outfield positions and can hit a decent bit. There!

Not ever going to another Twins game until team sold and it actually goes gets players to try to even win division, let alone advance in playoffs. I see 75 win seasons a season, on average, till then and attendance is around 1.2 million each year, meaning losing revenue and interest. Games are to expensive to pay for watching a team that has zero chance of even a .500 season. Summers have much more to offer, let alone at less cost. And don't give me this "it is the experience factor" either! MLB is in big trouble with the "haves" and "have not" team disparities. Then you have the television rights cost. Bad all around!

I think it was time for a change, same like with manager change, but I do think it was more Falvey's move rather than the Twin's ownership! The reason for the "mutual decision" was because Falvey needed more money to make team successful and ownership, right now, wouldn't oblige. I think Falvey basically said he had enough with one hand tied behind his back...and I don't blame him. Give him the wherewithall monies of the Yankees, Mets, Cubs, Dodgers, etc. and he would be a genius and baseball front office legend. Joe Torre was a good manager, but he had the options....and money to be a good manager.

Lay off the crack pipe front office if even considering this plan! I've never seen such ineptitude or such little empathy from the Twins ownership and front office to their fans! Are they trying to lose more monies! SELL the team if you can't afford it (cough...billionaires)! "We need a new stadium to compete with the bigger markets", but nothing changed, team spending wise, after Minnesota taxpayers and guests from outside city (coming to watch a game or two....hotels, restaurants, etc. from revenue accrued from taxes received to go to games)!!! Talk about pulling the rug out from Twin supporters!

Low attendance coming.....zzzzzzzzzz! Great depth for a minor league triple a team, meaning we are building our depth for double A to improve the triple A roster,......and in case of injuries to "star players" there, players that were high draft picks 15 years ago, yet still need more "seasoning" and experience. The front iffice believes they still can be stars...in 2030, at age 40+! We're coming!!!😉 I've seen and played against high end softball players that could have been closer to making those lower level rosters (or even higher...remember Jim Eisenrich), just that they were never looked at and/or didn't work out for marriage, military, money needs at time, family needs at time, maybe they themselves thought they weren't good enough, etc., ...but probably were, for at least a look!

It is a dung show!!!! MLB needs a salary cap and floor, more TV options (more on a cable option), realignment of divisions/more games against teams regionally, focus more on family affordability, etc. and these are just starters. Two more teams could be added, like Nashville, Vegas, Montreal, or San Antonio. Teams should add one more player to roster (injuries are absurd).

If you plan for mediocrity, expect mediocrity! By the way, name one business, just one, where their goal is to be mediocre or average, maybe "just get by"?!!!!!!! On a larger note, how about having just having an average family, not great, but just getting by; don't try to be to good, be to successful, don't get to many DUIs, don't get divorced more than once, maybe only have 1 of your 3 kids be drug dependent, only have filed bankruptcy just once, etc. , etc.!!!! You get the drift, that is "the Twins way"!!! Lastly, if your family can't afford to be successful in the "big leagues", no pun intended, sell to someone or people who can!!! Drop mic, exit stage right😉

Sell...sell..trade...trade.....go down to one million in team salary...and go 2-160, setting a never to be broken losing record. Might as well shoot for the best...er...um... worst, which they are obviously trying to do. My input helps them get there much faster! There...give me a $10 million a year salary for being g.m. for 8 years (Minny teams like long term contracts that go bust), with a signing bonus of $1 million (don't want to be too greedy ya know😉), and all years are guaranteed (being I will be fired after the first all-star break next year)! Bingo....or Yatze (both great names for dogs 🐶)!!!

Ahh.........no! They will be about 74ish in wins. Period! No zest...no zeal....no excitement.....no plan......no budget...........no fans. The ownership wants to lose money, not to mention fans, then blame it on either no interest or "small market" team. Whatever! O.K. Calvin Griffith.😉

Passan: Buxton Willing To Waive No-Trade Clause
Dawgzilla replied to Matthew Lenz's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
The turnstiles won't be turning to much if Buck, Lopez or Ryan are traded, especially if all three are!!!! MLB has a MAJOR "have" and "have nots" problem with payroll disparity, with the big markets always in the playoff hunt...not so much for small market, with few exceptions! MLB is NOT fair at all! Oh, the Dodgers are favored to win the World Series next year...... shocker.......NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
This team is becoming irrelevant with the payrolls and selloffs! I wouldn't blame any player from jumping to another team. This team has become a major league team feeder for teams that spend, developing players, then taking them when they become desirable. Lastly, Minnesota has many things to do in the summer, outside dropping hundreds to take a family to a game, for a team that guarantees a sub .500 season....and 1% chance of sniffing playoffs. The state basically gave the Pohlads the stadium, and this is what we get!!!! MLB has a huge "have" and "have nots" disparity problem! Don't give me this "it is the atmosphere or game experience" garbage either, that no longer works. Oh, my bad, great marketing too: make watching them on tv more expensive, if you can get them at all...great idea!!!!!!!!!

Trade....sell....all for top tier, multiple 1-3 prospects of teams being traded to. No more retreads or getting free agents that are basement level players, hoping for a revival year! Period!
