  1. I hope that injury to Hildenberger was the source of all of his troubles and now if he can let it heal, maybe he can return to form? The bullpen is certainly a big concern, so getting the previous version of Hildenberger would be great.
  2. Me too--I mean the part about Cruz hitting. As for the bunting, I'll let Polanco decide that on his own. I did want to mention that on a contact play like that, Schoop has to keep running. He starts hitting the brakes as soon as the pitcher fields it. The play with an underhand shovel is going to be much-much closer than he probably realizes. Once he started hitting the brakes of course, he was dead in the water.
  3. I always like Rocco's perspective. Tomorrow is another day, and the Red Sox are much better than their record.
  4. Welcome Twins to the bitter taste of reality! This is what the playoffs feel like. Time to buckle down. Forget about how the start of the season went for Boston; we're now playing the real Red Sox who take no prisoners.
  5. Yeah. I'm really hoping they keep Arraez and trade someone else.
  6. BTW, since we talking about ugly, I really must say that the aqua-marine hats are ugly as well.
  7. Thanks for this as always! Let's go and get some of those arms!!
  8. Yay! I think a Jake Reed call-up will occur quite soon. He has been pretty much lights out for quite a spell.
  9. ...and just like that Encarnacion has a new home. Seattle will be dealing, and the Yankees will be buying like they always do. I hope we don't sit on the sidelines counting our prospects for too long.
  10. That was ugly. Yesterday was also ugly, but the Twins put up the "W," so everyone forgot that the defense played quite poorly yesterday as well (excluding Marwin's catch). You can point to the pitchers, but whenever the fielders allow extra outs, it puts that much more pressure on the pitching staff. Five errors in two games; plus some less than stellar plays in the field to boot (according to all accounts); the Twins are lucky to get a split.
  11. LOL! I was trying to think of pun myself, but just couldn't think of one. You pulled off a nice double steal. Hat tip!
  12. We could add Odorizzi to the list of players no is really talking about, and Cron, and Garver, even Rosario and Buxton. I was reading suggested all stars by various sports gurus and the Twins players were conspicuously absent. Only one analyst had two Twins players on the list (Polanco and Rosario). Of all the others, only one Twin was even mentioned and that by only one guru (surprisingly that was Castro). In a sense, maybe that's the beauty of the Twins; there are different heroes depending on the game.
  13. Free Hackimer! Good to see him back to his old self. One thing I don't like about Blankenhorn is that his name is too long, so it really doesn't fit on the jersey well. I agree with Doc. We have three players tearing it up in AAA, but there aren't any spots open with the big boys.
  14. So Lugo is a left-handed version of Harper? I'm not complaining; I'm seriously asking.
  15. The high-scoring games are a lot of fun, but I love the low scoring W's.
  16. I am happy to eat a crow burger on Adrianza. He's been proving me wrong consistently. Nevertheless, speaking of regression, let's see if he can keep his BA over .270 for the rest of the season. If that happens, then I will be truly impressed.
  17. I concur. Arizona is every bit in the wildcard chase, so they won't weaken their bullpen now.
  18. Thanks for the Jake Reed spotlight. I suppose he's next on the merry-go-round of relievers, but I did like what I saw in the clip. Perhaps because of the new sidearm arm slotting, the ball seem to break late and with significant movement. Give him a canteen and let's send him up the hill

  20. What about a call up for Thorpe? We need one/two inning help in the BP. I think he looks ready as anyone else around there.
