  1. Love the idea of a 30-30-12-12-12 for Bum or Wheeler. Supposedly Atlanta is going hard after Madbum. Twins can't strike out on a SP this year.
  2. The only way Cole or Strasberg come here is if you start at $35m for 6-7 years. No way am I offering a SP 7 years north of $240m, the risk is too great. I would take Rendon at 6 $150m and use Rosario and a few positional prospects to trade for a SP.
  3. How about the Braves? Word is that they will move on from Markakis and they have a plethora of pitchers with high upside. A package left by Wilson, Anderson or Wright would get my attention.
  4. Some odd comments here so far! A lot of deserving guys this year, with Garver leading the pack. I would have Sano just behind him. A year ago we didn't know what we would be getting from Sano and now he is in line for a mega contract. My ballot would go Garver, Sano, Duffy, Max
  5. IMO he isn't worth a QO. Was the suspension a one time thing? Can the Twins rely on him?
  6. I assume they are using the MLB baseball in the fall league
  7. if Sano continues this pace over the next 2 years, he will command upwards of $25m per. Would 6 years at $115m get it done?
  8. I don't care if the power never develops and he hits .320+ every year. Just get on base and let the big bats bring you home!
  9. How far does Gilberto Celestino shoot up the prospect rankings for next year?
  10. Love adding a cagey veteran to the pen. We need experience for pressure situations and hopefully he can give some wisdom to the young guys in the pen.
  11. Has been a long time since I went to bed with the Twins playing a power team in extras, only to wake up and fully expect a win. Where was this pen against the bad teams the past few weeks? A little more focus because of the opponent?
  12. Hard to compare anything during the juiced ball era to days of the past. Good to know that we are raking this year and I hope it continues
  13. Listened to the Ray's post game report today and wow were they trashing the Twins pitchers and saying the Ray's are better top to bottom. Said the guys we beat will be the 6, 7 & 8 SPs come August when we play again. They talked about Odorizzi throwing his usual lucky good game. I had to laugh, he has been blanking almost everyone and this is a tread and not a fluke.
  14. What a game he pitched! Some of his KO pitches were just downright nasty! I'm sure teams will make adjustments and back off those breaking balls, but it will be hard for batters to do so. Is it 7 runs he has given up across 3 levels this year, that is amazing!
  15. Enough with the pitty party for Kimbrel, "freed from pick compensation" stuff. Him and his agent overvalued his worth to teams and turned down multiple 3 year deals just under $20m. The Red Sox wouldn't even let him close out the World Series. There are enough flags to not be mad if he goes elsewhere.
  16. Have had a prospect crush on Arraez for a few years now. I don't know where he plays, but I know he can hit.
  17. Verlander has become my most respected pitcher. He is what Clemons was towards the end, just a nasty bulldog out there. And a big thumbs up to Odo tonight! He has pitched like a solid #2 this year, but hasn't shown it in the win columns yet. Would like to know if they considered letting him go out for the 8th with so few pitches thrown
  18. Who is the first to be promoted? Jax or Graterol? Both have been dominant, but Jax is more physically mature
  19. With Castro hitting my weight in 7th grade, why is he getting a free pass? He is a solid C, but his bat was a fungo bat last year before he was injured. To me it is Cave or Castro gone.
  20. Arraez was busy tonight! 2-3 at AA and 2-4 at A ball Not sure who was supposed to be listed as the top hitter at Ft Myers
