  1. I am torn. I hate that professional sports and celebrities are the people we listen to now. I also think that justice will be done but it takes time. Investigations need to be completed and in this case it may not be easy sorting out the facts before making an arrest. In the George Floyd case the arrests were swift. In my opinion justice is being served and will be in this case too. Besides arresting the officer’s involved what other justice is expected.
  2. How much credit does Avila get for game calling with Majeda and how much "blame" could go to Garver for Hill's trouble?
  3. Who is Hill? Where did he come from? Are there any of our recent draft picks up? What are they waiting on?
  4. What about Sano? These are the players we tune in to watch. Last night was fun to watch even though they lost. Baseball players are softies now a days.
  5. Buxton already needs a day off? Starting to not be a fan of his anymore. If he needs to be treated like the princess and the pea we might as well trade him but I who would want a part time super star?
  6. No Sano, no Buxton and now no Donaldson. We aren't even a week in and these guys already need a day off or is something else wrong?
  7. Native American here and the names do not bother me. History is history and a name change isn't going to change anything.
  8. I really don't care if there is a season or not. I can't watch on TV any longer because of FSN and money, now this. The owners want big TV revenue and we pay for that and the players ridiculous salaries and we pay them too.
  9. I would go to the minor league and start seeing who has it and who does't. Why is Caleb Thielbar still Rochester, he is 32. Bring him up give him one last chance and move on. I have always felt like the Twins keep players in the minor leagues too long. There are 3 others over 30 in AAA. Give them one last shot and be done and let then next group move up to AAA. Bring the 25+ guys from AA to AAA and give them 1-2 more years and then be done with them.
  10. How many years left? This year and next? My biggest fear is Buxton, Sano and Berrio will go with free agency. They will get decent to above average money where ever they sign and it doesn't seem like anyone wants to sign here.
  11. It would be nice to get to the ALDS or even play in a WS win or not. These one and out with not wins is depressing. IMO we will never get there. Possible chance next year if Cruz can hold up and they get an Ace. After next year our major players will start Free Agency and we will start another rebuild.
  12. 101 wins was great! Not winning a game in the playoffs not so great.
  13. Wasn't that last year? I guess extending would count. I have to believe they know what they are doing but I am afraid last year was our year and we didn't have the pitching to go all the way. I
  14. I would HATE to see Buxton or Sano go. I would not like Rosario or Kepler to go. But that being said wouldn't it be better to trade one now before they hit free agency and get nothing? Is it possible they will sign them before free agency and it will all be good? Do you think Buxton or Sano would lock in early or wait? We have 3 years left of Buxton and I read somewhere that Sano is the least likely to be resigned. They ticked off Buxton last offseason not sure what that will do. Could Sano and a few minor league players get us a good pitcher in the prime of his career or do you think it would take Buxton?
  15. I honestly do not know much about the 2 new pitchers and have heard Donaldson's name over the years but is this just like the dumpster diving we are used to? Is the new front office better at dumpster diving? Seems like we are just getting older players near the end of their careers.
  16. It sure seems like it. Hoping 2019 wasn't a fluke like it seemed 2017 was. Latest big name signing was Cruz it was awesome but not huge. Twins right now have 2 players over 10m an year. A pitcher and a DH. Odorizzi plays every 5 day and Cruz bats 4 maybe 5 times a game. The fans came back and it is time to do something huge now
  17. And we know they won't spend or can't get it done. NEVER HAVE NEVER WILL.
  18. Free agency was a bust instead of trading why not just bring up the farm and see who will succeed and who won't. By not signing a top free agent we are not going to get any better. I have kind of always thought we leave good top signing players in the minors too long anyway.
  19. I am wondering......what will Buxton, Berrios, Sano, Polanco and Rosario do now. It seems obvious that the Twins will never sign a top free agent. I may get the word here wrong but do you think any of them would sign an extension to stay here, they will mostly likely be able to get good money in free agency and go with a team that has the goal and will go all out to win a WS? I am sure there is frustration for them now too. A couple of years where the FO threw in the towel or like last year go get someone to help win the series. I would think be on a team that goes for it every year would have some appeal. This may be a stupid question buy I can't imagine any decent player wanted to sit around for this to hspp
  20. I get the Yankee hate but would love to have owners with a WS or nothing attitude. We have a team that hopes and builds for a play-off series not even a win every once in a while. Last year was a blast to watch enjoyed every minute of the season but they get a big red F when it matters. And I do not expect anything different ever. That is why players don't want to come here.
  21. I didn't expect much mostly because it has been a well known fact that players do not want to come here. I would say it is mostly because they don't see the ownership going all out to win a WS. There was a lot of hub bub in 2015 and 2017 when the team still had a good chance but decided to throw in the towel and off load some of their decent players at the trade deadline. So they are kind of stuck. Some of the players have the Twins in their contract as a place they can't be traded to. The Pohlad's or FO always say they will spend but never to. They haven't been to the WS since 1991 and haven't won a play-off series in forever. Also in the past the coaches had their favorites and they played whether they deserved it or not. That really changed this year for the better. players know they need to earn their playing time. Once they get one big name and maybe go a round or two in the playoffs more players will want to come here.
  22. Torii was know to have an attitude. Dozier spoke out and was gone and someone else the year before him when they gave up on the Twins by the trade deadline. We have had players that were what I consider passionate Gomez and others about the game labeled as cocky.
  23. Players like Sano, Buxton and Berrios should go for free agency. They will get the money probably more if they wait. Let's pretend they are going to be a good as anticipated why would you want to stay on a team that has no goals of WS or is handicapped by not being able to attract star power. Most of them have dream't about winning or at least playing in a WS since they were young boys. They will have more money than they need by that point. It may be a little early to judge the front office but the history of the Twins is to let the good players go when big money is ude. They will blame it on a comment or attitude but really they don't want to pay them, they would rather go with the players that still make close to league minimum. How many players in the last few years have been let go for a comment they made about the Twins letting players go and giving up by the trade deadline. So many have been accused of having attitudes and then magically are traded. Maybe the new FO and Baldelli can change that but like many have said, players talk and I am certain they know much more that we do. Aaron Hicks is now making 10 million, they never resigned Johan Santana, Torii Hunter, Justin M, Micheal C.
