  1. This. Paxton probably profiles the best but he gets injured every year it seems. Odo is the safest best to throw the most innings next year if you ask me.
  2. Agreed, service manipulation is such a joke. Invest in players and they might stick around for a bit longer than they have to.
  3. Probably in nitpicky territory but when I think sturdiest of building blocks, I think Arraez. He's got such a great approach to the plate that I think most teams in the league would ask for him in trade package. But I'd also put Kepler at #2 due to what he achieved in 19 and his defensive abilities. Lastly, have you seen Royce's smile? Maybe I'm delirious from the vaccine #2 but that grin alone is top 3 by any metric.
  4. Lewis had an OPS of .661 in A+ and AA during the 2019 season. I'm all for being aggressive with prospects but if he can't handle the pitching in the minors what benefit would he be to a playoff team?
  5. I'd say if Smeltz ends up being a AAAA guy the Twins won this trade because there's a bit of value in that type of guy and Dozier hit under the Mendoza line in 47 games. As for Raley, he's a 1B/Corner OF which we always seem to have a surplus of. I wouldn't think twice about him if not for the team that asked for him has a decent track record of finding value in castoffs and bubble players..
  6. I do too, but they have to earn their spot first. They're prospects, so odds are half those guys are gonna be busts.
  7. I don't necessarily disagree with you but I will say as a counterpoint, having an ace is a great thing to have if we don't win the division and have to play in the wild card game. The Sox are a young and lethal team that could potentially take the division. Maeda could get hurt then we're relying the mental fortitude of Berrios.
  8. Wow, Buxton has looked incredible at the plate recently. Really, really hoping this is the start of his superstardom. Maeda pitching against Lopez on paper looks like an easy W. Would certainly feel good to split the series.
  9. What a sweep. Are there any Marwin doubters still out there or have y'all come to your senses?
  10. Sky is falling, everyone commence freak out.
  11. I simply do not understand how Detroit can go from arguably the worst hitting team in the majors to top 5. I'm baffled. The White Sox of now seem like the White Sox of years past: very top heavy with a lot of holes. A promising young core though. And I fear no man, but that Bieber? He terrifies me.
  12. Counterpoint: he's really good at pitching it seems. One of the best in the majors if you look at the numbers.
  13. Wisler continues to surpass my expectations, but that's because I literally had none. Great pickup! This org continues to show an eye for pitching talent. Hoping we're on the way to replicating what Cleveland has been doing the last couple years.
  14. There might be better ones out there, but dear lord do I love our bullpen. Just a great mix of flame throwers and veterans with a couple of guys able to give you a couple of innings in case of a short start. Looking forward to seeing what Wisler brings to the table, as I missed both of his appearances thus far.
  15. Respectfully disagree. Fantastic smile, gorgeous beard, great slider. He's literally perfect.
  16. The manner in which the Yankees court their free agent targets has nothing to do with this article.
  17. Why would the Red Sox want Rosario? They already have Benitendi in left and Betts in Right. The difference between Rosario and Larnach/Kirilloff? I'd say substantial, as neither of the latter group have seen a pitch above AA. To bet on them making an impact next year would be a gamble at best.
  18. White Sox are coming off a 72 win season, do you really think their offseason moves have put them 29 wins ahead of us? I have my doubts. Sure, they've made a couple nice moves, but they finished a distant third last year for good reasons.
  19. Big Mike will be the best #5 in the league after we sign Cole and Strasburg.
