sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Baltimore: 1) Lough, CF2) Lombardozzi, 2B (something familiar about that name...)3) Urrutia, RF4) Young, D, LF (i've heard of him too)5) Clevenger, C6) Reimold, DH7) Flaherty, 3B8) Pearce, 1B9) Casilla, A, SS P) Norris, B Minnesota: 1) Dozier, 2B2) Suzuki, K, C3) Mauer, 1B4) Willingham, LF5) Kubel, DH6) Plouffe, 3B7) Arcia, O, RF8) Hicks, CF9) Florimon, SS P) Pelfrey (source: mlb gameday) And of course, things to think about. 1) Actions speak louder than words. So i shan't ever complain about lack of game thread... 2) Better late, than never. But might as well take advantage of the lateness as more information is available. Reinforcements include: 1) Escobar, E, 2B2) Pinto, C3) Colabello, 1B4) Presley, LF5) Kubel's still DH6) Bartlett, 3B7) Parmelee, RF8) Hicks' still in CF (and yeah, feel free to correct my apostrophe placement)9) Florimon remains as SS Pelfrey pitches 3 innings, giving up 2 hits and striking batters out 4 times.Diamond goes 3 innings, giving up 2 hits and a run, and striking 1 person out.Gibson pitching. 3) Opening day isn't far off. Decisions can be hard to make. And chances to make them better informed are perhaps dwindling. Good luck to Diamond, Gibson, Deduno, and yes, Worley too, however they go/went. I'm less clear on what position decision boils down to. That said, is it better to have no right decissions, or no wrong decisions? 4) Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Thanks to the many game threads that have gone before me for givin' me someone to flatter. (And while i'm too lazy to look it up, i have Riverbrian to thank for this format?) 5) Think about... a thinkabout. it's like a walkabout minus sore feet, isn't it? (And, if i'm lucky, i'll get to learn how to edit my post...)
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Thanks for putting this together, SSO1.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 No Prob. Alas, too little, too late, but still it is practice for another time.
ashbury Verified Member Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I didn't even think to look for a game this morning (Pacific time). Thanks for setting up a thread though. Judging by the box score, maybe we've found an answer for one slot in the rotation: three innings each from Big Pelf, Diamond, and Gibson. Let Deduno be the 5th starter. Who needs a bench, we'll just have Pinto and Escobar to sub for the position players.
