J.D. Martinez anyone? The right handed leftfielder just got released by the Astros. Had 7 homeruns last year in not many at bats. 11 homeruns and 55 rbi two years ago. Also lots of doubles. Maybe he can play center as well so we carry him as our 4th outfielder.

IIRC he signed a MiLB contract with the Phillies. So he will likely play for my hometown team (IronPigs)

If he played CF I'd feel differently, but instead he is a corner outfielder with perhaps below-par defense. Even if his bat were to come around, I don't see him filling an unmet need for the Twins, nor would that kind of a profile become a valuable trading chip by investing a 25-man slot in him. I pass.

The only hole he'd help fill is adding a RH bench bat. But he doesn't offer much of anything Colabello doesn't already. He'd need to be serviceable enough in CF to be a 4th OF. He's not.
