One of these days I'll make the roadtrip to see them play elsewhere. Port Charlotte would probably be the easiest to get to.

 

Yeah. Closest ballpark and a really nice OF boardwalk for $10. About half an hour away. Last year I stayed close to Port Charlotte as a matter of fact.

You know what the best part of being here is? There's at least 2 and some days 3 free games to watch right here at Hammond every day! The last 3 days up to today we all got to see Correia, Hughes and Pelfrey pitch around 6 innings. Today it was Alex Meyer. Plus the rookie team played Gardy's kids team, Stout. Cheapest entertainment in Florida! Oh, I might ad Parmelee had 2 nice doubles today.

It's not free if you have to pay for parking ... maybe I'll skip the 'big team game' tomorrow and just watch at the minor league fields ... again, dependent on whether or not I have my Dad.

Do you know where the strip mall with Publix is right after you turn on Ben C Pratt Pky from Daniels? Scalpers have signs there by the entrance looking for tickets.
