Squirrel Community Moderator Posted March 19, 2014 Author Posted March 19, 2014 Yeah. I really thought that ball was gone
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Are you sure? I thought his three pitches were roped single, rocket double, and long HR. That's just bad BABIP luck. He'll regress into a 3 ERA pitcher any day now
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Swarzak stands a better chance of starting a game for the Twins this year than Worley does at this point.

Physics Guy Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Yeah. I really thought that ball was gone He jumped at the edge of the grass. It seemed to me he thought he was closer to the wall. He doesn't look terribly sure of himself out there.

Physics Guy Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 6 walks for Moore. 85 pitches, 44 strikes. Glad I didn't draft him in fantasy. Don't get me wrong, I'd take him on Twins in a heartbeat.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Have we had any starter approach this many pitches yet?
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Moore's final line: 33 swings - 1 LD, 7 GB, 4 FB, 15 fouls, 6 whiffs edit: 6 whiffs, not 5
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Twins 5th: 8 swings - 1 LD, 0 GB, 1 FB, 4 fouls, 2 whiffs
LaBombo Verified Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Bert with an interesting plug for collusion, via his anecdote about owners controlling costs by not signing VGuer back in the day...
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 You think this is bad, remember in 2012 ST when the O's got beat by a JuCo team? Eternal Hope forever, San Juan Bautista patron saint of baseball pray for us.

Non-Mauer Twins couldn't hit a pinata unblindfolded and armed with a laser-guided Louisville Slugger. J/k, thanks for the updates, it's confirming that the Twins aren't unlucky at the plate tonight, they're just overmatched.

We'll see how long that lasts.

shs_59 Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Tell me that when we find a leadoff hitter as good as Ben Revere ...... I'm stil waiting... (might be waiting till past i'm dead) And No Byron Buxton should not be a leadoff hitter (he may have to be)

Tonight's game has dragged on to the point where I found myself internally debating for several seconds whether to pull for Guerra to make the squad or to get cut so we don't have to hear about the Santana trade quite as often...
Willihammer Provisional Member Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Come on Ramirez, hit one back up the boxberger edit: walk works too
