UCLA_YANKEE_COLA Verified Member Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Pretty vanilla overall (as most athlete chats are) but I liked this answer - Austin R. (Savage, MN) Where do you think your bat fits in the lineup in the current twins roster?? Byron Buxton (2:48 PM) Hopefully I'm more experienced and more disciplined at the plate to be a leadoff hitter. That's where I've hit most of my life. I feel confident there. Hopefully leadoff. I don't really care where he bats but I like that he cares.
nicksaviking Community Moderator Posted January 30, 2014 Author Posted January 30, 2014 And it's interesting that a big-name, well-rounded prospect such as himself isn't campaigning for the middle of the lineup.

iastfan112 Verified Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Living within the constraints of a typical lineup I could certainly live with: Buxton Dozier? Mauer Arcia Sano sometime in 2015.
shs_59 Provisional Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 He is a father, which is great, but interesting that Mauer's Twins and Buxton's first child are almost the same age.... Just a cool random thought.... I hope Bux realizes he's got a looong way to go , a lot of hard work left yet to do, well for at least 1 more year anyway.
Shane Wahl Verified Member Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Buxton, Mauer, Sano, Arcia, Hicks, Rosario, Dozier 1-7 opening day 2015.
Steve Lein Twins Daily Contributor Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 Buxton, Mauer, Sano, Arcia, Hicks, Rosario, Dozier 1-7 opening day 2015. With those names I'd go Buxton, Hicks, Mauer, Sano, Arcia, whoever the DH is, Dozier, Rosario. But could flip around Rosario/Dozier/Hicks in pretty much any fashion. I think Sano is going to be your prototypical clean-up guy. He's not going to have the batting avg. (compared to Mauer) for the 3-spot, and Buxton/Hicks will score a ton of runs in front of them.
Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted January 30, 2014 Posted January 30, 2014 If you made it through Tuesday's Hangout, Seth and I spent about 10 minutes near the end of the 113 minutes we talked discussing the Twins lineup once the prospects are ready.
