Poll: Who will be the Twins' next All-Star pitcher

Perkins doesn't count, he already is an All-Star. Who will be the next pitcher named to the All-Star team as a Minnesota Twin?

I took a gamble and picked Hughes.

 

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if a revitalized Hughes comes out of the gates dominating hitters and cracks the All-Star team.

 

He won't maintain that kind of pace but I have the feeling that getting out of New York is going to do wonders for this guy's mental state.

Alex Meyer certainly has the highest upside of that bunch, but I'd guess he's at least 3 years away from making an All-Star game. With Perkins still on the team, I have doubts whether Tonkin will receive the notoriety needed to ever get there. But then I try and imagine anyone else on the list making any All-Star game, and I just don't see it happening. At this point I'd say it's a tossup between Meyer, May, Gibson, Stewart, Thorpe, Gonsalves, Berrios, etc... Whichever one of those guys finds his peak soonest, so I'm going to take a flyer on Gibson just edging out Meyer and vote none of the above.

Gibson can't even make this sorry list with the likes of Deduno, Worley, Correa and Tonkin?

 

I wonder if the hosting Twins will be able to manage more than one All-Star this year. One would think Mauer and Perkins have a good shot, but you never know when an injury or slump might occur.
