Think Eades is rated way too high. Outside of that very good list. Will wait to see the top ten before commenting further.

May was rated Philies number one prospect before the trade right? Are the top ten prospects that good or is may regressing?

I would take a longer look. Shane had him at 42 or something and I commented in depth. We need a fast rising starting pitching prospect and I'm guessing this is the one. 2011 Cape Cod pitcher of the year.

Eades is easily a Top 20, and in most organizations would be Top 10. He's got the great college career and stuff. He'll move fast.

Yeah it's just that his stats for his start to his pro career look like crap

They would not let him start and basically had him pitch in mop up situations. Obviously I don't know, but I would guess they asked him to work on his 3rd pitch etc. In comparison, Meyer never pitched an inning after signing out of college.

They're just limiting innings. Eades had already thrown over 100 innings. He'd been throwing since January. He will start in 2014 and could get to 140-150 innings. He's got good stuff. He will be fun.

The lack of strikeouts in college is very bothersome. Not to some, apparently.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Eades one of those guys who has great stuff, but the strikeout numbers don't seem to match his stuff? It's not really ideal, but I imagine the hope is that the system can help him work out the kinks and let him move quickly. He was a 2nd round pick for a reason, even with an underwhelming K%. If he had a better K% he would have gone in the first round. I like them taking a chance.

as my good friend Bobby says, "Don't worry! Be happy!"

Haha, well he does make me think of the college version of Hudson Boyd. Well, the thin, college version of Boyd.
