Am I remembering wrong, or does a veteran lose his contract in declining a minor league option?

Nope. It's his prerogative with his amount of service time, unless something has changed.

Couple things: Stuart Turner is "temporarily inactive", but instead of denoting that, I just let their roster at 26. Mark Hamburger appears to be heading to NB, but they've yet to announce a move, though his suspension is over.

 

Yes, I also know that Gallant has a messed up field. Let me tell you, after a late Hangout Tuesday and a late game last night, I'm super tired... and I actually was falling asleep while updating the site. So, if you notice any other errors... TELL ME!

Shouldn't Kris Johnson have 2013 listed as an option year too? He was optioned by the Pirates last August (although it appears it was just for one start?).

He was optioned on the 19th, but was recalled 9/1. So he didn't spend enough time in the minors for the option to count. (Which is either 15 or 20 days.)
