stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Tough error for Trevor. Probably makes up for a few "hits".
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Fantastic. Based on what I saw yesterday, I have the Gophs in the National Title game, but I'm not yet prepared to say how much they'll beat Alabama by. I need to see them play Western Illinois before I'll go out on a limb. As much as I like the Gophers, I see the heat may have got to you......either that or senility.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I know, right? Actually, I considered not taking the job. I'm reluctant to join any group that would accept me as a member.Did you pass that line to Groucho in the '30s?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Oh wow ... white men CAN jump. White women, not so much.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Kind of like Dozier at second base.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 DOZIER!!!! what a catch! Trevor, take notes.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I know, right? Actually, I considered not taking the job. I'm suspicious of any group that would accept me as a member. Still making a valuable contribution to society in your retirement years, well done sir.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I am on a personal mission to lengthen this game thread. Is Brian Dozier the Twins MVP if Mauer doesn't return this year?
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I know, right? Actually, I considered not taking the job. I'm suspicious of any group that would accept me as a member. I'm just gonna start writing to you now with all my thread 'complaints'
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 BTW, I hope Dozier gets some RBI and overtakes Morneau for the team lead. Not sure if that will happen.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Still making a valuable contribution to society in your retirement years, well done sir.Thank you sir, but you are making multiple assumptions here, sans any evidence, I'm afraid.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I am on a personal mission to lengthen this game thread. Is Brian Dozier the Twins MVP if Mauer doesn't return this year? Gotta be, only other guy even worth mentioning would be Perk.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Thank you sir, but you are making multiple assumptions here, sans any evidence, I'm afraid. You're right, valuable and being a member of society are broad assumptions.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I know, right? Actually, I considered not taking the job. I'm suspicious of any group that would accept me as a member. Just curious ... was there a need for more mods, or replacing someone who is no longer interested in it? (I have no idea who all are mods anyway. It wouldn't really matter if I did, though, I'd still be my misbehavin' self.)
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Does anyone want to see Clete Thomas play for the Twins in 2014? Doug Bernier? Wilkin Ramirez?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 You're right, valuable and being a member of society are broad assumptions. As are "still" and "contribution."
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Which one is which? I think Chief is 3rd from left.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 everyone over the age of 35 still calls it the Skydome Omit the "the", though.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Which one is which? I always wanted to be Peggy Lipton. I thought that was a cool job.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Mark De Rosa with two bloop singles, somewhere Vodka Dave is smiling.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Just curious ... was there a need for more mods, or replacing someone who is no longer interested in it? (I have no idea who all are mods anyway. It wouldn't really matter if I did, though, I'd still be my misbehavin' self.)The site owners felt there was a need for more moderation. Specifically, in the game threads. More specifically, more moderation of the female posters who habitually hang out in game threads. There was a thought that the current staff couldn't handle the workload those poster(s) generated.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Mark De Rosa with two bloop singles, somewhere Vodka Dave is smiling. Almost put 'Dave's man crush' in the lineup and then though, eh, some may not get that.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Which one is which? I think Chief is 3rd from left. I've been "outed!" Link...take care of this guy for me.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Actually, I considered not taking the job. I'm suspicious of any group that would accept me as a member. The group is suspicious you agreed so quickly.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 Fans from Andrew Albers home town of North Battleford heading to the game in Minneapolis.

Lol!! That was an awesome response!
stringer bell Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 After watching the stuff that Albers is succeeding with, there has to be a very fine line between success and failure in major league baseball.
GCTF Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 3. Toronto sports fans are unbearable. This x 1,000,000.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 As are "still" and "contribution." And "sir".
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 This x 1,000,000. How are they so unbearable? I mean ... they can't be worse than New York or Boston fans (of any sport).
