Mr. Brooks Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 "What are we doing here? Frank, what's going on?" That's what just came through the audio feed. Slick. Ah (bleep), I (bleep)ed it all up. Let's try this (bleep) again. -Bert
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 I pressed that key; what's supposed to happen? Shortcut to embarrassing websites.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Is there Gameday for MiLB?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Rosario has a tennis like swing... It works though... Nice double.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Is there Gameday for MiLB? I believe so... MILB.com
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Is there Gameday for MiLB? I looked at something that may have been the site, with many games listed, but NB hosting Trenton was not shown. FWIW I am listening at Fox Sports Radio 1410 - Hartford's Sports Leader | iHeartRadio
Seth Stohs Site Manager Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Don't know too much about him but they just said the Twins gave him a bonus of almost a million. For a 10 round pick thats a bunch He signed for $75,000... he's been around since '08. From Dallas Baptist (like Lew Ford). He's played a bit in AAA. He's played in the Arizona Fall League. He's just a solid player.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Interesting base running by Rosario. At least Sano will get a fresh count.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 all this time and I never knew that ... thanks!
Chance Provisional Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 With the bases juiced? Merl probably not but I was just trying to calm you down. You called for a coaches job! how does Rosario and Sano look so far? I see the box score but I can not watch the game.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I looked at something that may have been the site, with many games listed, but NB hosting Trenton was not shown. FWIW I am listening at Fox Sports Radio 1410 - Hartford's Sports Leader | iHeartRadio yeah ... I've got that one ... and here's the gameday link ...Trenton vs. New Britain - August 19, 2013 | MiLB.com Gameday | The Official Site of Minor League Baseball It wasn't on the top of the page; had to go 'searching' for it.
Chance Provisional Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 In other minor league news, Pinto hit his first AAA homerun. Nice.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Rosario has gone the other way 3 times. His double and first fly out to left were tagged pretty good. Hasn't had a difficult defensive chance to really see his footwork. Sano made a nice play charging in on a slow roller with a strong throw. Based on that play alone from an athletic standpoint.... He can play third. If he is still struggling with the glove at third. Reps ought to take care of it. If he's hungry. At the plate... His Swing looks great... A classic power stroke. Flew out to RF and he looped out to left with a ball off the handle. He did hit a long foul.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 It amazes me how some people have the answer to absolutely everything. I always have AN answer, but never THE answer.

James Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 That last play by Rosario was pretty decent. He got a good jump on that ball.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Sano with a K... Nice pitch by this Moreno Kid.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Wish I could see all this instead of just listen to it. Its kinda fun... I read about these guys... I like being able to watch them.

He's played in the Arizona Fall League. He's just a solid player. Is he really well regarded? With a real shot at a major league career? He just hasn't shown all that much at bat, IMO, except in short (150 PA) bursts, and he's now getting a bit old for there to be many chances left. But... maybe I'm missing something in the young fella. PS, when I was in FM last spring and hung around the minor league fields, I heard other players call him by nickname: Squiggly. Maybe just a short term thing.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Its kinda fun... I read about these guys... I like being able to watch them. On Sept. 1 I'll be in the stands at Hammond Field to see the final Miracle game of the season. Am looking forward to it ... even if it is a day game and will be hotter than, well, maybe not quite hell, but hot enough.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 That last play by Rosario was pretty decent. He got a good jump on that ball. Converted OF... That flare should be right up his alley. I'd like to see him turn one.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 And you know the sway he holds over the front office. I should... I can't figure out why Terry Ryan hasn't called me!
James Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Converted OF... That flare should be right up his alley. I'd like to see him turn one.Right. He should have had that, and he did. So that's good. It looked nice though. I'd like to see him turn one too.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Author Posted August 20, 2013 Right. He should have had that, and he did. So that's good. It looked nice though. LOL... Yeah... Rosario getting it done at 2B... Cue up the Timbuk3
jokin Old-Timey Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 Its kinda fun... I read about these guys... I like being able to watch them. Yep. The Twins need to be scheduling more day games and putting the future on in prime time more often. Having the actual game on, and not talking heads TK and Roy blubbering and taking up virtually the whole screen, with great plays like Byron Buxton's Catch of the Century occasionally acknowledged in a small pop-up bubble, is a nice upgrade, too.
ashbury Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I should... I can't figure out why Terry Ryan hasn't called me! He doesn't need to. He reads it all here. I swore to him that I would not reveal his TD pseudonym, but it's... <ulp> <Urg> <ugh!>....
James Verified Member Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 You know, I read pretty much all of the minor league updates, and I don't think I've ever seen the name Blake Martin before. Maybe I just forgot.
Marek Houston Wichita Wind Surge - AA SS On Saturday, Houston went 3-for-5 and scored two runs. After a short slump, he is now back over .290 on the season. Explore Marek Houston News >
