I'm not saying you're wrong here in any way, but a couple post like this have me thinking that it would be fun to dig up the old threads when we drafted guys like Jeffers, Zebby, Ober, etc.

I truly would have been very happy with any of the top 3 options. But Lackey was my favorite. It's just so rare to have a quality, athletic, defensive catcher with a good arm who can also be a quality

Hard not to be excited about picking Vahn Lackey. A college catcher who profiles as a plus offensive and defensive potential. A Georgia high school kid!
