Then Zoll is not doing his job.  Tom P. should not be making roster decisions.  Zoll needs to show him why it is the right baseball and operational decision.

You're right but I don't think Tom is concerned about the right baseball decisions. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

At the very least Royce will force one of the IF subs out. Let's Pray Wallner goes to the IL forcing a second move, preferably Emmy but likely Roden. Outman shouldn't have extended his time with today's hits but probably did.

At least half of this 26 man roster has no real business wearing a major league uniform.  Yet, here we are.

Then he should hire someone who he trusts to make those decisions if he doesn't trust Zoll.

Twins need to right ship upcoming week!!! No reason we can’t beat Mets and Tampa Bay-need 4-2 week to get back over.500 and retake division!!!

True, but I have zero expectations that it will play out that way.

Take two at NY but Rays will sweep

That scenario is far more believable to me.  And it still might be wishful thinking.

Yeah the vibe around here in the run up to Opening Day was that this roster might produce around 70-75 wins, and maybe this is best thought of a developmental season, which I'd be OK with. Except the tendencies of this organization combined with the delusion of already being "competitive" by the ownership, lead me to believe that until this ownership changes, or MLB intervenes (if thats even a thing), these are our Minnesota Twins.  Sigh.

Shelton is in a tough spot. Hard to push the right buttons for long when you're asking AAA+ players to execute. Is what it is.

He blew it sending Morris back out in the 9th. Any one of us could have known to pull him.

Morris was brought up as a long relief man. Granted 30 pitches in.one inning is quite a bit but he is stretched out as a starter, and he can go several innings. Everybody says bring the AAA guys up and give them a chance and that’s what Shelton did. Hopefully Morris gains from the experience.

I understand that. But struggling with the bases loaded is another animal.

When nobody in the bullpen has assigned roles, the managers' choices are always genius when they work and horrible when they don't.

No one in the bullpen deserves an assigned role. Their roles are crappy option 1, Crappy option 2, etc

Per Darren Wolfson, Kendry Rojas is on his way to the Twins. No corresponding move mentioned.

Funderburk will be going on family leave (his wife is being induced on Tuesday) so I imagine that’s the move

Are daggers allowed?

I know the broadcast team seems to like calling a particular style of useless swing a sword when the batter gets fooled.

But i have yet to hear if a dagger is something similar...

More then a few of the TC bullpen options should thank the god/gods they worship that they have a MLB contract.  Absent the TC they would not.
