Lewis is irrelevant to the Twins future.  He is incapable of staying on the field.

Can't argue with that thought.

Plus, it is quite unfortunate for both parties.

Another lefty rookie today. Yay

Lewis on IL, Keirsey back up

SWR pitching in his hometown

The signs for today are not pointing up, at least prior to game time.  Maybe this will all play out a lot better than I'm anticipating it will.  Time will tell.

Quotes by Lewis from an article by Steve Schaeffer on the Twins website today.

“I’m tired of being the one that’s getting bullied and picked on by this game,”

“It feels like whether it wants me to suffer on the offensive side [in May] or, when I’m going hot, it wants to kick me out with an injury. It seems like it’s just picking on me at this moment,” Lewis said. “And so I’m just waiting for one of my friends to pick me up and stop this bully.”

This is not an adult that is taking responsibility for their life in baseball. This is a 7 year old.

I stopped seeing him a relevant a long time ago except as a cheer leader.

I still think he could pull it together and grow into a player that can use the potential he has sometimes shown but I don't put much thought in it.

I'm surprised and pleased to see Buxton in the lineup; fully expect him to get scratched a half hour before game time.

I was going to say the same thing, but not so cynical to suggest he’ll be scratched.

I guess if I were him, I’d just say as little as possible, much as Buxton has about his frequent injuries.

Lewis has rightfully been classed as injury prone, and I doubt he has any answers left. I think he’s a good kid who wants to be a great baseball player and his body continues to betray him.

I think he's a good guy who fell into believing he was as amazing as the fan base wanted him to be.  MLB history is full of guys who are elite for a season and then get figured out.

I still think he can be very good but not the HOFer we all wanted him to be.

Sim needs a decent/good outing or he might be finding himself on the east side of the metro. I think it is in him, but he has to get ahead and have improved command.

I disagree with the juvenile characterization of Lewis. Understanding of things a person can control and things they cannot shows maturity to me.

i read those quotes as frustration in the situation, of which I can’t blame him. I’m frustrated in the situation too

Really tough to take much of anything from Lewis comments. He's frustrated and disappointed. From the lens of being a fan, we get upset when players get injured. But imagine putting in all the work and effort only to have your body fail you...year after year.

Facing two lefties in Cincinnati this week. We're gonna have to grow up sooner or later.

Also, I know Rocco has limited options but holy hell, Jeffers batting 2nd...how much more do we have to see the same players struggle only to be put in the same situation...

Jeffers batting 2nd..??.Does anyone know Roccos reason to keep putting him 2nd, its insane -- try Bader-Lee-Castro to maybe shake it up, now with Buck out it probably wont matter anyway,  , . over -under on S.W.R Strikeouts is 3.5 today , does not show confidence, ,  maybe he can surprise us ??  Go Twins

Would of liked to seen Mc,Crush called up 2 -3 days ago with all the Left handed starters now and this week, Yes i know he is not any kind of long term answer,  But give the kid a real chance with 5-6-7 games up here , How does Kiersey help ?? dont see it-    we have zero r.h. potential power bat,  , what are they afraid of ??
