Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Yeah, so this team has absolutely no idea how to play normal baseball. They're either the best team in the league or they suck. thelanges5, Ottomatic1990, shortround81 and 2 others 4 1

Maybe this will all play out a lot better than I'm anticipating it will. Time will tell.

Quotes by Lewis from an article by Steve Schaeffer on the Twins website today. “I’m tired of being the one that’s getting bullied and picked on by this game,” “It feels like whether it wants me to suffer on the offensive side [in May] or, when I’m going hot, it wants to kick me out with an injury. It seems like it’s just picking on me at this moment,” Lewis said. “And so I’m just waiting for one of my friends to pick me up and stop this bully.” This is not an adult that is taking responsibility for their life in baseball. This is a 7 year old. I stopped seeing him a relevant a long time ago except as a cheer leader. I still think he could pull it together and grow into a player that can use the potential he has sometimes shown but I don't put much thought in it.

I guess if I were him, I’d just say as little as possible, much as Buxton has about his frequent injuries. Lewis has rightfully been classed as injury prone, and I doubt he has any answers left. I think he’s a good kid who wants to be a great baseball player and his body continues to betray him. Patzky and IndyTwinsFan 2

I think he's a good guy who fell into believing he was as amazing as the fan base wanted him to be. MLB history is full of guys who are elite for a season and then get figured out. I still think he can be very good but not the HOFer we all wanted him to be. IndyTwinsFan 1

I disagree with the juvenile characterization of Lewis. Understanding of things a person can control and things they cannot shows maturity to me. i read those quotes as frustration in the situation, of which I can’t blame him. Twins_Fan_in_NJ Verified Member Posted June 15, 2025 Posted June 15, 2025 Really tough to take much of anything from Lewis comments. He's frustrated and disappointed. From the lens of being a fan, we get upset when players get injured. But imagine putting in all the work and effort only to have your body fail you...year after year. Patzky and Blyleven2011 2
