Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Hey Chief! Do we drink to the "good trip to the mound by Anderson" comment by Bert?
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Tough news for the wife. Fewer characters to type and you still got beat to the punch by niksaviking, old-timer.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 concur. EDIT: I get credit for "riverbrain," though, no? 1 for 2? Partial credit. You missed "brian river". Also, "brien rivar".

CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 That was a beautiful play. I'm not even mad.
heatbeat Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Man Gordon is a monster out there.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Why would you run on Gordon? Carroll thought he was 36 again.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Fewer characters to type and you still got beat to the punch by niksaviking, old-timer. In fairness, he's probably on an electric typewriter.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I'm not even mad. In your opinion

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Where did Glorm go? He normally leaves a menu before he steps out.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Do the Royals as a rule not take many pitches for strikes? Sure looks like they are up there to get some swings in today.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 In fairness, he's probably on an electric typewriter. +1 Sir. You and Jamey Carroll are on a roll.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 See, unlike him, I got papers that prove I'm not. / anymore That's awesome... You gotta go through a lot to earn them. Ashbury says "Hello" Hooray for speech therapy.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 KC really looks like they are swinging the bats well right now, but Gibson kept them off the board in the fourth.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Hooray for speech therapy. Th-th-th-that's easy f-f-for y-y-you to s-s-say.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Speaking of Blyleven...at the end of his 6th season with the Twins (his age 24 season) he had logged over 1600 IP. His worst ERA was 3.18 (his rookie year), his worst WHIP was 1.17, and had K'd over 1300 batters. And he had yet to swear on live TV.
ashbury Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 KC really looks like they are swinging the bats well right now, but Gibson kept them off the board in the fourth. See, this is probably what management meant about Gibson not being consistent. No runs in the first two innings, then two runs in the third, then right back to no runs. How do you expect them to get a bead on this guy?
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 And he had yet to swear on live TV.Only because that was before TV was invented.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Is that right? He is certainly doing well today. Also, I have to be honest that given the players he decided to start, his right-handed options to split up his lefties are mostly worse. I'd have preferred 2)Mauer 3) Plouffe 4) Morneau 5) Arcia 6) Dozier if breaking up the lefties is important to him. But, Gardy's magic sauce has led to a strong start and I am enjoying seeing Gibson in the bigs.Dozier's OPS in day games is .772, at home it is .818. He also has a big right/left split.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Heart of the order for baseball pitcher KG to be eligible for a win.
CairoCrown Provisional Member Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Whos there?Still waiting on the setup.
