Its windy and raining at the start.  Scotland who knew.  Probably foolishly I put a little on Hovland and Aberg for a top 5 finish.

That course must be so very hard. Didn't get to watch any today, and my weekend plans just got changed, so might not see much then either......

Hovland is in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" world (which I hate, as you should always be getting better).

I enjoyed watching the pros struggling like I struggle--unable to reach par 4s in regulation with a driver and fairway wood, hitting into bunkers , missing greens and missing relatively short putts.

I played one round in Scotland seven years ago and the weather was similar--rain and wind and cold in July--it's different from playing on the manicured US courses the tour usually plays on.

Everyone was bunched up early on Sunday, but Schauffele won it on the back nine with a 31. There wasn't a weakness in his game and he deserved to win. I didn't think he was elite, but he was better than anybody in the tournament.
