Royce Lewis Update - Brock Stewart to 15 Day IL

MLBTR has a fresh article with an update on a few Twins players including Royce Lewis.

Lewis is doing baseball field work, 80 swings in the cages and some running progression. Seems like the initial 8ish week timeline is probably right in the neighborhood.

Brock Stewart has some shoulder soreness and Baldelli said the move to the 15 day IL was purely precautionary trying to get ahead of it rather than letting it potentially become something bigger later in the season.

Probably good to handle Brock with care given his history and his ability to be dominant down the stretch.

We also have had enough depth in the bullpen this year to have the luxury of early intervention for minor injuries

From what I read, Lewis is anxious to get back on the field ASAP. But that's no surprise; that's just the way he is, and frankly, the way most players are. They want to be on that field and helping their team. In any case, I hope it doesn't take a full 8 weeks.
