A number of people believed that Gurriel Jr. would be a decent player for the Twins, especially if Max Kepler was traded. I don't see any other bats worth signing for less than $15 million per year. Are the Twins content with the lineup as is?

Those are all DHs. I don't expect any of them to be on the Twins radar. Maybe Turner can play some 1B, but if you believe the reports there are multiple teams in on him. Hoskins is probably the only other bat that actually plays a position. The list of viable upgrades is getting awfully short.

This team does not need a full-time DH, too many good bats to try to find PA's for. The Buxton experiment last season also proved this.

I figured he would sign and be off the board before the Twins made any moves. Still, I was very intrigued by his coming on board for Kepler, who would be moved with Polanco...though necessarily in the same deal...to land that SP and still have a quality lineup with balance.

Oh well, it was just an interesting idea.
