Good lord I'm not even smart enough to type those studies correctly. He was a featured guest at a SABR Boston chapter meeting I attended a few years ago. I don't remember any specifics, but he was more polished than the typical player panel guest and it was entirely believable that there is good intellect behind the polish. He probably checks off most if not all the boxes, including having Red Sox roots, to have a chance for success in the eyes of ownership.
