William K Johnson Verified Member Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Think the league has caught up with Julien and Wallner? Can't leave that many runners in scoring position and expect to win a game. glunn 1
Schmoeman5 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 A good game by PL. the Twins vs TB coming up. Tampa Bay still playing to win AL East. So it should be a good measuring stick. Unless the Twins think the Central is a wrap and start resting guys.
Mortimerkenny21 Verified Member Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 It always sucks to lose one, but even feels like more of a shame with how excellent Pablo pitched.

Tlaker Verified Member Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Any stat guy out there… what’s the Twins’ record on series ending games after they had already won the series or at least can not lose the series? Seems Rocco ….. oh never mind I am just talking this year, but if you want to post career records… fine

Not to bright in that at bat, While I'm hoping he might swing at that pitch in that situation, Pablo Lopez proved what happens when most batters swing at pitches out of the strike zone. Even pitches a half inch off of the plate reduce chances for contact. Julien does not successfully hit those pitches in any event and he is in a slump right now making it even more unlikely. Hitting a baseball is really hard. Although we all might want Julien to swing in that situation, the pitch was not one he is likely to hit so he takes it. SwainZag 1
insagt1 Verified Member Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Jax blew a magnificent game pitched by Pablo. I naturally want Twins to beat up on TB. Regarding our two really slump ridden hitters Wallner and Julien...they are both striking out far too much. While Julien is getting walks, he has totally stopped hitting. Wallner also has hit a wall. they both need a game or two off. When you get a great start by your pitcher, even against a very poor team, you must get him some runs. Our guys were 0-10 with RISP. I know you can't win them all, but they should have won this one and swept the Mets. It was there for them. Twins have to know by now that Jax isn't a closer. Guardians lost again, so all this does is take another game off the schedule. Twins still in excellent shape for the division. But some adjustments to the lineup are in order. Especially with Polanco away for awhile.

The offense blew a magnificent game pitched by Pablo. ashbury and wabene 2
