jokin Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 The results haven't necessarily been there yet, but overall I'm growing more and more encouraged with Hicks. He seems to be relaxing a bit, taking more and more good ABs, and hasn't been overmatched at the plate, IMO. He's a guy that you have to get out within the strike zone for the most part, which to me is a big sign he'll eventually hit. I know a lot of folks want to send him down, but for my money as long as he's playing every day, I'm good with him learning in the big leagues. The guy is what his career indicated he would be. Initial struggles (although took that to apocalyptic levels in April), streaks of both greatness and ineptitudal setbacks, followed by a reasonable level of performance- varying from demonstrable professional competence to potentially much more (the HR and catch tonight) when all is finally said and done in year 2.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Too late... There is a Snepp Marking on the fence outside TD that warns em of no entry. Sorry, that was a jug of wolf urine. I was assured that it would attract all the ladies.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I have developed a serous man-crush on Segura.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I have developed a serous man-crush on Segura. The Brewers' broadcasters said he's trying deer antler spray. I guess it works.
big dog Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Wow, the Ghost of Aramis Ramirez got a hit. Yikes. Isn't it time for him to go on the DL again soon?
mikeee Provisional Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 go-go gomez has 10 homers on this young year!?!?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I have developed a serous man-crush on Segura. A Simple Man Crush is one thing... A serious one... Your relationship has progressed.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So are we all just pretending that this inning isn't happening?
big dog Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Yeah, but he thinks he's hit 20. Did you see him on the one Hicks caught? He hit it, admired it, and started jogging for a few steps before it occurred to him it might not be an upper-tank shot. I do enjoy that guy, I gotta say.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 So are we all just pretending that this inning isn't happening? Yeah... What else can we do... Acknowledge it?
big dog Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Inning? What inning? Gardy's already filed the paperwork for a do-over with Angel Hernandez.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 Wacha called up by the Cardinals... I'm going out on a limb and saying that he will be special. Yep.. Making the call... Yes sir... I'm telekinetic... I can start fires with my predictions.

ashbury Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 This is really stupid, making the pitchers bat in place of the DH. They should end the experiment.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I know I may get attacked for typing this but here goes. I think the Twins were right about Florimon.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 John' date=' you really have a nice voice.[/quote'] I think there was a story about Rich Little or some other impressionist, who was asked to sing something for a small group. He declined, saying he couldn't really sing. But, someone protested, he'd heard him sing "My Way" just the other night - had a very nice voice. Nah, said Little, I was just doing Sinatra.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 I know I may get attacked for typing this but here goes. I think the Twins were right about Florimon. You should watch a game sometime.
