A bit unlucky on the singles from Fielder and Martinez, but...can't give up an 0-2 hit to start the inning, and you have to make Cabrera earn his way on base when you're up 3 and the next hitter represents the tying run, even if it's Cabrera.

Twins purchased the contract of RHP P.J. Walters from Triple-A Rochester.

 

That means we'll have to wait a little longer for Kyle Gibson to arrive. Walters and Samuel Deduno will join the rotation this weekend, taking the spots vacated by Vance Worley and Pedro Hernandez. He's put up a 3.31 ERA with 46 strikeouts over 54 1/3 innings this season at Rochester.
