Phillies Designate Dalton Guthrie For Assignment - MLB Trade Rumors

I'd drop Garlick and add this guy to the 40 man roster as the righthanded AAA outfielder. Doesn't hurt that his dad was Mark Guthrie.

Don't know why we'd have to drop Garlick. He's been great against right handed hitters (though with a small number of at bats), and his .146 against lefties is NOT the worst on the team. In fact, there is another right fielder who is worse at hitting both lefties and righties.

I always liked Mark Guthrie. Saw him pitch a lot for Orlando in AA and later with the big club. Didn't realize that he had a son playing ball too.
