I think I'll head over to Hooterville now. Goodnight everyone. See you tomorrow.

Gonna be 1st place and under .500

Cleveland will be two out after tonight. And they have the A’s up next. Not sure how much longer you’ll be able to say that first part

Track some traded Twins too.

Granted he plays for the BoSox and came from the Dodgers, but Verdugo has Minnesota ties. I graduated high school in International Falls 2 years after his mom, a year ahead of one of his uncles and played slow pitch softball for several years with another of his uncles. Got to know his dad a little bit watching/playing pool with his grandfather, my dad and several other "old" guys at the VFW this past winter.

Might jump on the Reds bandwagon. They’re fun to watch. Making a run for first place.

Wow! Only 4 teams in the league are further out of first place than Boston is right now. And they’re in fifth/last place. That’d be quite a run.

Only 2 out in the wild card though.

watching this team hit with runners on is a total exercise in frustration. Our so-called power hitter pops out and then the guy who did hit the unexpected HR strikes out. and so it goes.

Welp, looks like most of the posters have signed off for the evening

And I'm about ready to be another.

Time to find something/anything more enjoyable than this, such as loading myself with paper cuts.

C'mon man! The 6-9 hitters are 5-11, 3 runs, 3 RBI, 1 HR and only 2 K's

Well, batters 1-5 are a collective 0-14 with 1 BB and 6 K's, so there's that....

I have a bad feeling we've seen the last of "above .500 Twins" for 2023.

Yes.

It’s a species with a very short life span. Usually only observed in the early summer. Rarely seen during the hottest and driest months, and rarer still beyond that.

Not a pretty sight from the top half of the order, that's for sure.

Julien isn't the problem. That ball was a rocket, ruled a hit immediately. Now that infielders start with both feet on the dirt there will be a number of similar hits. In fact, we have already seen a number so far. No player had a shot at that ball except by sheer luck. The hitters haven't hit and now the pitching has fallen off.

Haha. Is this a joke? It was literally hit right at him. Yeah, hit hard, but That play is made 99 times out of 100 by a MLB second baseman. Embarrassingly bad.

And MLB score keeping has lost any self respect.
