Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Riverbrian, how do you like the dart? my wife and I may be in the market for something here soon, she is in sales and puts on a lot of miles, and may be changing employers. New gig would give her a car allowance, not a company car like she has now.....I really like the way the darts look. Absolutely Love it... Get the Limited... The Dash is customizable and looks amazing. Get the Prem and Tech Group. If she travels a lot... She's gonna enjoy the inside the car features. I researched for about 3 months before I decided on the Dart. It was a home run... I love it.

Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Doumit's nail polish is lovely. It helps the pitcher see the obviously wrong fingers that he puts down,
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 It helps the pitcher see the obviously wrong fingers that he puts down,I always used tape. Polish never occurred to me.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 There is always tomorrow. There is still the ninth.
Reginald Maudling's Shin Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Parms needs to come through. /edit: oh wellLove those first pitch pop ups... The sign of a truly lousy hitter.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I always used tape. Polish never occurred to me. Jorge Posada was the first I remember doing that. Anyone remember someone else further back?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Love those first pitch pop ups On which count do you find they are more effective?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Jorge Posada was the first I remember doing that. Anyone remember someone else further back? Phylis Diller
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 The ESPN feed has "Carrera out stretching at second". Doing a little yoga and lost track of things? (I just don't remember seeing that detail in a PBP log before.)
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Phylis Diller If she could frame a pitch I'd be willing to see the Twins give her a try.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Jorge Posada was the first I remember doing that. Anyone remember someone else further back? I'm an old fart. I caught my last game in 83.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Guess I never paid attention to catchers' manicures until a few years ago, then.
Reginald Maudling's Shin Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 On which count do you find they are more effective? Was Wade Boggs the guy who popped out about once a year?
glunn Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 If she could frame a pitch I'd be willing to see the Twins give her a try. I met her a few years ago at a party. She did not look like she would be able to make the throw to second, and her hitting would probably be < Butera.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Guess I never paid attention to catchers' manicures until a few years ago, then. Makes it easier for the pitcher to see... It also makes it easier for the base runners to see. Along with the team statistician sitting in CF in the neon shirt who takes his hat off for curve ball.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 I met her a few years ago at a party. She did not look like she would be able to make the throw to second, and her hitting would probably be < Butera. This is why I would be a lousy scout - I forget the little things.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Was Wade Boggs the guy who popped out about once a year? Boggs was a manwhore. I imagine he had really nice nails.
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Was Wade Boggs the guy who popped out about once a year? Mauer has approximately that talent too. And it's safe to bet that 1% of those few are ever on the first pitch.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Boggs was a manwhore. I imagine he had really nice nails. Nails caked with Chicken grease.
snepp Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Fun fact, Willingham currently leads the league in infield flyball %.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Coom was thinking Joe was going to get ahead in the count. When has anyone seen that?
ashbury Verified Member Posted May 4, 2013 Posted May 4, 2013 Boggs was a manwhore. I imagine he had really nice nails. "OMG! Who does your nails?" "Johnny Pesky."
