Jeremy Nygaard Twins Daily Contributor Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Are we sure a claiming team is responsible for the entire salary? I thought they would be responsible for the major league minimum with the Twins paying the rest. Perhaps that's after he clears waivers. Players that are claimed off waivers are claiming the contract too. If a player is released and signs with another team, the signing team is just responsible for the prorated (edit) minimum.
jay Provisional Member Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 DFA Tim Wood. Please. From this article, you can already tell the Twins value his Matt Cappsian-bulldogishness.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I'll say DFA Wood, open up a 40 man spot (add a CF anyone?), and see if he gets past waivers. If he does, he's the first man up once a bullpen guy lands on the DL.I would send Pressly back, but it seems the Twins are against that.
DaveW Old-Timey Member Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Wood is nothing special and I wouldn't send anyone down at this point. I'd doubt he would even get claimed.
