Guest USAFChief Guests Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 I was in attendance for Eddie Bane's MLB debut. By the way...to pick a nit...your article says Bane " joined a very select group of only 20 players that were drafted and went on to play pro ball directly out of high school or college with no minor league experience."Playing in the minor leagues IS "pro ball." I think you meant went directly to the majors, with no minor league experience.
glunn Community Moderator Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 Great post JJ. I wonder why Bane did not succeed in the majors. Injury?
Top Gun Provisional Member Posted January 8, 2013 Posted January 8, 2013 I remember him and that game.. It was just to much for him.

Take a few minutes and listen to the interview if you have time but according to Eddie his curveball that was so great in college deserted him in the big leagues.
