sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Once upon a time, in the '80s, there was this athlete named Bo Jackson, no relation to Hugh, so far as i know (and i know pretty far*)And being a professional athlete in multiple sports, folk figured he must know something, and ran popular advertising to that effect. I was a wee tike then, so the advertising must have been a mixed success. I remember it existed, but not what was advertised. So to this day i am left wondering what or who does this pro Bo know? But enough with the history lesson. Which is sadly lacking in both history and lesson. The real choice for naming this thread Bo, is it starts the word Bomba. And only read th word, so forgive me for forgetting my Spanish pronunciation as learned in Kellogg junior high school and thinking it referred to this: That is to liven up the game thread. Thing stew... think a bout. 1. See above youtube clip. 2. Bomba squad: actually should refer to our pitching. Berrios hopefully can defuse most of the opposing bombas. And Rogers comes in hurling the liquid nitrogen, to shatter the bats. 3. If i got away with the previous youtube clip, and creative spelling, maybe i can get away with this one as Bomby? Simply Marv-y Less... 4. Bombas quad in this thread. This being the 4th. I hope that means the Twins will hit 4 too. But not gonna go out on a limb. Even if i do have... 4 of them. I am mildly busy the rest of today, not including a likely failure to find parking... So someone else please complete the line ups. Oakland send Lefty Brett Anderson to the mound. Minnesota counters with Righty (counters Lefty, right?) José Berrios *bonus "Bo knows" points to anyone who knows where i stole that without internet searching...
Nine of twelve Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Bo knows The cameo by #99 is my favorite part of this.

Circus Boy Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Today I'm hoping for a complete shut-down performance by JB and early runs to support that. That is all. P.S. Last night on the game thread Mr. Walcott asked "Where's Circus Boy?" Still here. But my home computer for reasons unknown won't let me sign in, so I remain silent most games. Otherwise, I can comment while at work prior to first pitch or during afternoon games.

yarnivek1972 Verified Member Posted July 20, 2019 Posted July 20, 2019 Supposedly Rosario had some stomach issues related to the heat yesterday. It’s no longer hot or humid. One would think he should be fine.
