Scouting report on an under-radar Twins pitching prospect

I was incredibly intrigued when I heard about the Twins signing of Kai-Wei Teng in fall of 2017 and once it was announced in December of that year. He's an incredibly intriguing pitcher, and I enjoyed taking some time to watch his work so far this year with Cedar Rapids.

Another solid start for Teng today: 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER (solo HR), 2 BB, 2 K

 

He's no Matthew Liberatore (good Lord, what that young man has done since he came up!), but Teng has taken the ball and gone at least 6 innings in 3 of his 5 starts this season. He's now sporting a 2.33 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, and a 9/25 BB/K over 27 innings on the year.
