Stuff Happens

 

I know that almost everyone has minimal expectation for the Royals in 2019 but... Depth is important... Teams need to raise that floor because stuff happens.

Tough loss for the Royals and their fans.  They don't have much to cheer for these days. No doubt Perez was their team leader.

He's one of those players you associate with an organization, so it's a huge loss for the Royals even in a non-competitive year.

I don't think it's going to happen this early, but if this was mid-season, I could see us dangling Castro. Going into last season Perez had the most innings caught since 2013, Castro was second.
