There was much talk of a Goldschmidt trade, but locally, the Twins were never mentioned. They have been mentioned, but the focus is on STL. Everyone, including Twins' beat writers, indicate that the talks never got past the preliminary stages.

Sign some arms because you always need arms. After evaluating the young players the following year find plug and play FA. Save some money this year to splurge next year. If the fan base can't very into the young fellas are they really fans? It would be nice if the Twins locked and loaded every year but realistically not Boston, New York, LA. My $0.02

My $0.02 My idea of using the farm system is by trading question marks for established players. How many prospects are really going to cause people angst that they got rid of for a stud like Goldy?
