Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 I'm no expert but if not C then IF, OF, SP or RP well played!
Lonestar Verified Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 The catcher I like is/was Ramos -- fewer years, lower Average Annual Value, good to DH, and no draft pick compensation. I could fit Ramos, Garver, and Castro on the same roster (if it wasn't for Tyler Austin) and let Castro go if he was unable to perform. I guess I can fit Ramos, Castro, and Austin on the 25-man roster and send Garver to AAA, but I like Garver in the Show.
Thrylos Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 My very quick take: Gone -14:MauerForsytheWilsonMorrisonSantanaBelisleGraniteFieldAstudilloGrossmanSlegersMagillDe JongDrake Duffey / Curtiss still have options for now, but can be removed if needed.Austin is out of options so if they get desperate and need a spot, but i think he will make it as a platoon guy. Added R5 +5:GraterolGordonWadeAlcalaArreaz Bard got returned for a reason. Reed passed by all teams for a reason.Think Anderson/Vasquez will fly under the radar.1B are rarely taken so I don't see any need to add Wiel. Added FA +9:Mauer (Re-sign)CastroPinedaR5 pickFive free agents That's about what I am thinking with the exception of Mauer and the rule 5 pick, which will give them 7 spots for trades + free agency (not only FAs). I'd also sub Magill and DeJong for Duffey (he really is a gone) and Curtiss (ditto; if interested, he'd be up by now). Will need to see who else needs projecting. Jay maybe or some of the new acquisitions. Still think that there will be some turnover before Thanksgiving, when the additions will need to be made to protect players from the Rule 5 draft

Otherwise I'd like him.....but then he'd cost more. But the injuries are non-stop.
