Exactly one half of the trade that also netted the Twins Dietrich Enns, in exchange for Twins Legend, Jaime Garcia, Littell is seemingly the better prospect between Enns and himself.  In 2017, to say Littell had a solid season would be a understatement, compiling a 19-1 record with 157 IP, 2.12 ERA, 142/41 K/BB, 1.12 WHIP across A+ and AA ball.  Plus, he has a pretty stellar beard as seen in the video.

 

Scouting Report per Baseball America: 

 

An 11th-round pick in 2013 out of Mebane, N.C., Littell signed with the Mariners for $100,000 rather than attend Appalachian State. He was traded to the Yankees last December for lefthanded reliever James Pazos and had a standout season in his time in the Yankees organization. Littell is not overpowering, pitching mostly at 89-91 mph, but shows great feel to pitch. He throws a two-seam and four-seam fastball, which he spots well to both sides, and shows no fear of pitching inside, despite non-elite velocity. His curveball is his go-to pitch, with 11-to-5 shape and good depth beneath the zone, drawing swings and misses. His slider has some depth but can be inconsistent and the changeup has some fading action. Scouts are split on whether Littell is a starter in the long-term because of his velocity and that his fastball can get flat when it's up in the zone.

Littell started for the Chattanooga Lookouts yesterday (4/5) with a line of 4.1 IP, 5 Hits, 2 Walks, 2 Runs (2 Earned), and 7 strikeouts.

Littell took the loss on 4/11 for the Lookouts.  His line was 4 IP, 7 Hits, 1 Walk, 3 Runs (3 Earned), and 10 strikeouts.

Littell had a no decision on 4/17 for the Lookouts.   Probably his best start to the young season as he retired nine of the first 10 hitters he faced.    His line was 5.2 IP, 3 Hits, 1 Walk, 3 Runs (3 Earned), and 8 strikeouts.

Littell got his first win of the season for the Rotchester today (5/5/2018). Seeking improvement on his previous two starts, Littell turned in a solid performance. His line was 6.0 IP, 2 Hits, 4 Walk, 0 Runs (0 Earned), and 6 strikeouts.
