70charger Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 That was a big, sexy strikeout. To go with his big, sexy 86 mile per hour fastball.
Guest Guests Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 uffda. great illustration of why OBP is overrated.Chief, which player around the league who may be considered underrated would you want to get because of his proven ability to get RBIs? Separate and apart from his ability to hit for power and average.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 ruh roh. I don't think I want to see Big Sexy pitching in 2-0 counts very often.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Surprised sano threw to second. More surprised dozier even bothered throwing
Don Walcott Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 The one negative about this long innings is that Bart is getting close to his bedtimeFortunately, he has his normal dinner time well before the game -- the early bird special -- around 4:30.

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 So far Morneau has been great. He really has. Interesting, articulate, good info.

Separate and apart from his ability to hit for power and average.guys who put up consistently good ABs with runners on, but look for a pitch to drive in those ABs. Robinson Cano. Dustin Pedrioa. Paul Goldschmidt. Jose Bautista. What I don't like is guys who look to walk rather than look to hit, but I also don't like guys that get exited and expend the zone. Get a pitch to hit, and hit it hard, whether that's the first pitch of the AB or the 10th. Those are the guys that win baseball games. Over a season, it makes a difference.

jimmer Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Yup. does this mean we can DFA Hunter? Or Dick or, more likely, Bert.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 So far Morneau has been great.I wouldn't mind having him on the broadcast team one bit.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Someone has to tag one off this guy.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 In case you missed it, the fire sale has started in Day-twah. J D Martinez to Arizona.
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 This game has the pace of cold peanut butter
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Guy has 52 pitches in two innings and we have 0 hits
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 What do you call someone who points out the obvious?

Paul Goldschmidt, for example, isn't someone whose offensive value is under appreciated.
Taildragger8791 Verified Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Guy has 52 pitches in two innings and we have 0 hits As frustrating as that is, it means we'll like be into their overworked bullpen by the 5th inning. That should open up some opportunities later in the game and tomorrow.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Guy has 52 pitches in two innings and we have 0 hits yeah, he's got a no hitter against us.... no hitter no hitter no hitter not a perfect game...
Aggies7 Old-Timey Member Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Granite looks like a young child out there in that big outfield
