Harrison's numbers have appeared to get worse every year offensively. As he has moved away from 3B, his defense has seemed to improve. Unfortunately his prospect status has been dropping and  this year is not helping his case.

Harrison is only 24 I believe born in 92. My question is why aren't they playing him in AA? I get that he has gotten off to a slow start but....

Correct, October 1992.

He has played 30 games, not sure how many he has not played in...Problem is that this "Slow Start" is following last years slow year...He hasn't had an OPS over 750 since 2013. He just isn't producing and he was drafted for his Bat if I remember right.

Harrison is now hitting 203/301/287 in 143 At Bats. He has struck out 45 times. While horrendous, these numbers are actually coming up (Slowly). The kid needs to catch fire before the draftees start getting signed or he may find himself a mid season roster casualty or a throw in on a Dyson Trade...

Harrison has 5 hits and 10 walks in his last 45 plate appearances for a 143 BA over that span dropping his overall BA to 183 on the year. His OPS has dropped to 555. The kid has lost it and I think it's time the franchise cut bait and see if someone else can save his career cuz it has flatlined in Chattanooga. It's the time of year when promotions start and I'm predicting Harrison will make room for one of those promotions

It's very disappointing. Just three years ago, he was on a trajectory toward being a productive major leaguer. I had him just behind Kepler and Polanco as likely to make it.

Harrison has 6 hits in his last 10 games which included 31 at bats for a .194 batting average. One of these hits was a home run that gave him 2 of the 4 RBIs he had over the stretch. He also struck out 10 times in those 31 at bats, 5 of those Ks were on July 30th. His season slash is .179/.312/.292 for an OPS of .604.

Travis J Harrison was placed on the 7day DL August 11th and released August 19th. My internet searches have not revealed what's next for him but I wish him the best of luck in the future in or out of the baseball life.

He looked good in A ball but never had another season that looked that good.  The Twins gave him plenty of time to prove he belonged but there are just too many guys that are more athletic and hit better than he does.  It was time to let him go.  Hate to see a dream die but he made it further than a lot of guys do.
