Averaging 7 innings per start would be 231 IP over a full season. Does anyone do that anymore?

Sorry semantics, he needs to be going 7+ somewhat more regularly, does that work/sound better? Can't be getting pulled after 5 as much as he has.

He is averaging 5.75 IP per start this season, that needs to go up before I consider him anything more than a #3.

Also in July, Aug, Sept his numbers have been closer to #5 overall. Lots of games not getting past 5 IP, averaging less than 5 1/3rd IP per start, 4.76 ERA, BB rate up, K rate down.

I think the league has made adjustments to him a bit, key now is for him to make adjustements going into next year, that's how you become a front of rotation type guy.

Again, I have faith he will do this, and my whole point to begin with is that the Twins got this far WITHOUT Berrios being some shut down type guy.

To win a wildcard, yes.  To win the AL Central?  Gaah!  There's some really not good teams in our division this year.  It all depends on Cleveland in my mind.  Chicago is not good.  The Royals?  Not looking so good.  Detroit?  Maybe.  I know we aren't supposed to contend, but if we can feast off the AL Central and then play .500 against the rest, we will play meaningful games in September.

Prophetic?...Nah, just a lucky guess.
