I've met a lot of people that have worked at Target Field, and most of them have liked it. We got a press release that Delaware North, the Twins food & beverage partner, is having a bunch of job fairs this month, and I thought people might be interested in that. If you'll recall last year, the Twins were bussing people up from Chicago to work some of the April weekend games, and now they're doing all these job fairs, so it feels like it's a real opportunity. Here's the press release:

Would we working at Target Field during Twins games give one the right to use "we" when making statements about the team? That might make it worthwhile.

Do you actually get to see any of the game or is it all work? My guess is all work yet wonder if some positions might finish the shift before the end of the game. Does anyone know?

in the metrodome days I volunteered in a food/beer stand to earn money for my various philanthropic groups.

Beer stands were closed after the 7th inning, we the cleaned and closed and could watch the 9th from the top of the stairs. Food took longer to clean and were open later. No luck.

I have a few friends who became TF ushers in retirement. Apparently that is like the most fun job in the world.

The other cool thing about working at a concession stand at Target Field is that you don't need to have any level of understanding of proper customer service or what it means to do your job efficiently. Pretty good gig.

From what I know it sounds like a much better opportunity than working at U of M events. They posted something about looking for people for Gopher game days and more than half of the comments were people saying stuff like DO NOT WORK HERE, they are totally disorganized, it's nothing but aggravation, etc. Yikes!
