High heat Verified Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Now that the Red Sox traded for Sale they have seven starters and a surplus of lefties. What would it cost to get Rodriguez? Would a deal around Park and a hard throwing reliever peak Bostons interested?
Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 No. Buchholz and/or Pomeranz will get dealt. Boston just acquired relief help in Thornburg, and also signed Mitch Moreland, and isn't really willing to subtract from the big league club right now either (other than Travis Shaw who was pretty marginal lately anyway).

Completely agree. No way they deal Rodriguez, who will definitely be the cheapest of the 3 and has a decent chance to be better as soon as 2017.
