The more I think about it, the more I think Miller is exactly the sort of player the Twins should call on. He still has good raw stuff, seems like a guy who might be one or two tweaks away from taking the next step.

His sharp velo decline is a massive red flag, as are the command issues. He's hurt, toast, or some combo thereof.

 

Worse yet, after this year he will be entering his 2nd year of arbitration. There's just nothing there.

The trend isn't good but he did suffer a finger injury earlier this season. I would want to check him out medically for sure but even if he stayed where he is now that would be almost 95 mph perceived velo.

 

If something stuck out that you believed could be coached up, I'd hope the Twins would go after him hard.

 

His arb-clock is fine.

Miller would be an excellent buy low candidate, IMO.
